About Work Gap If Applying for Government Job?

    Sir.
I had completed MBA(marketing) in 2009 and then after that i worked in a pharmaceutical company but after working there for 7 months i.e; (april-october 2010) i came to know that it was not a registered co. So i left it and i didnt even get the experience certificate for that period. Than I decided to work in govt sector now being BANKING SECTOR my preference with other sectors also to which im eligible. Will this gap with no experience certificate put an affect on my selection process or they just requires the eligibility only in govt sector? What should i do to get into govt job easily. PLZ HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I need your valuable guidance. Thanks

It would be incorrect to term working in a different sector as "Work gap" before applying for a Government Job. No matter what the work was about, each job comes with learnings, hence working anywhere should be taken into consideration.

    DOnt worry about ur fortune.
U can attend the bank test by considering ur age limit.
most of the notification gives the age limit as 18-26.

    Dear Amit Kumar Harbola,

You are the judge and declarer of Gap Period affected in your career. Not much I can say here what and how you cover-up the non-performance period,
I think you might be busy in looking after your properties/lands etc during that short period. Right?

So I would say from the point of view of the Recruitment agency, What I feel that it is a very small gap and probably would not affect in your selection
process until unless you kept minimum work experience (if applicable) for the post/cadre for which you have applied in the Banking Sector.

Also try to get a certificate duly signed by an authorised person from your previous employer in order to support your career without fail at least for now. OK.

My advise here is without much worrying about that Gap period, you start preparing better with your free, so that your scores should speak your ability and
that will envelop the gap periods in career.

    Best of Luck...

As far as govt jobs are concerned, there is no condition to be employed before joining govt job, as far as some experience is the minimum requirement for that Post.
You need not to worry about GAP and start preparation for BANK PO exam.
Once you clear exam, there will be Interview round, and you should be prepared with some good answer, for what you did for that much gap.
No one want unproductive employee, so don't say you just sat at home, rather say, you were busy in family business or something of that sort.
To be on safer side, you should get GAP year certificate along with you before going fr Interview. This you can get from NOTORY and get it attested by Magistrate.
This is for that you are not involved in any wrong doing for that much time gap.
Your eligibility for any govt job is based on your qualification and Age.
For most govt jobs, graduation is minimum requirement.

    dear firend

as you want to join the government sector than i have a good news for you that you can go for the government jobs because they did not consider the GAP if you ulfill the age criteria of maximum 29 years than you are eligible to give the exams of government sector.
so don't worry about your gap period start preparing for the government sector.
for this you can directly give the exams of the government company according to the vacancies available in that company.
and you will give the exam of civil services(IAS). for getting the best job in the government sector.
you can also give the exams of various government banks they just consider5s your graduation degree and your age.

so for various vacancies you should keep in touch with the newspaper "employment news".

thank you for asking the question.

It makes no difference, if there is any work gap or not. For any job in government/public sector, if you fulfill the required conditions and qualifications you can get the job.

    Dear friend,
Work gap is not at all a problem if you still fall under the age limit for applying in govt sector jobs. In banks for the post of clerks, the age limit is 18-28 yrs and for officers it is more than that. So,don't worry about that, now set a goal n keep trying for it. Work very very hard that no one can put a list without including ur name in dat. So, with complete dedication focus on any one field in govt sector and die for it. The else part god will do.

    All the best....God bless you....

It hardly matters if uou have worked some where and for any reson you could not get experience certificate for that period. If you have any opportunity of any govt. job and if you meet their required educational qualifications and meet the conditions of age etc. then gap poeriod does not matter.
