Getting a job after a BTech degree in ECE is quite healthy.
You can try for core ECE jobs like JTO, BHEL, SAIL, HAL etc.
Besides these, there is the scope to get into software jobs like TCS, Infosys, Wipro etc.
You can also try for higher studies and get into better jobs.
So, the scope of jobs after a graduation degree in ECE is quite good.

    friend,

Since you are doing BTech in ECE, you have various job opportunities in Core Electronics companies as well as in
S/w companies. Moreover opportunities in Public and Government departments are also very good for you.

If you want jobs in PSU companies, you need to apply either for GATE exam or the exam conducted individually by
the companies in which vacancies are present.

Currently BPCL, HPCL and powergrid have published the advertisement that these companies would be recruiting
on the basis of GATE score of 2013.
You can also apply in other PSU companies:
    - BHEL
    - BEL
    - BARC
    - SAIL
    - NTPC
    - DMRC

Next option for is to apply for IES(Indian Engineering Services) exam which you can the Rank 1 officer rank job in
Various departments like Indian Railways, Defense Departments.

Re: After B.Tech in Electronics and communication engineering what are the chances of getting a job?

    Hello dude!

It's a good question and i hope the answer will help you.It is must to know what are the job opportunities in ECE.Not just taking the branch and studying will make you a job holder, you must have practical knowledge also.

Basically Graduates from E.C.E will have jobs intwo types of sectors particularly when related to studies. They are:
    1.Software Sector.
    2.Core Sector.

The complete details are mentioned below:
    SOFTWARE SECTOR:
There are many software companies currently and some of them are listed below:
    TCS
    HCL
    INFOSYS
    WIPRO
    MAHENDRA SATYAM ACCENTURE
    SYNTEL
    MPHASIS
    IBM
    MICROSOFT etc.

The selection process for all the companies is almost same.It consists of three rounds.Every round is a knock out round and if you get selected in all the rounds then you will be given an offer letter.
    They are:
    1.Written test.
    2.Technical Interview.
    3.HR Interview.
If it's a walkin interview then there will be an interview only.
    CORE SECTOR:
In government sector, you have good opportunities in public sector companies, they are:
    NTPC
    ONGC
    DRDO
    HAL
    IOCL
    POWER GRID
    G.A.I.L
    S.A.I.L
    B.H.E.L
    B.E.L etc

However for getting into the above mentioned companies, you must write the GATE Exam.Getting a good percentile will make you get a job in public sector companies.
The above mentioned are the jobs related to your studies.

Other than studies you can also apply for:
    • In Indian Railways there are good opportunities like Assistant Engineer,Sub Engineer,Loco Pilot,Ticket Collector etc. However for getting into this you need to write the R.R.B EXAM conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board.
    • Indian Army.
    • In Banking sector you can write the exams of both the clerk and p.o posts,it will be useful if you write the exam conducted by IBPS because it makes you eligible for almost 19 banks in the country.
    • You can get Job by writing UPSC Exams like IAS,IPS,IFS,CBI etc.
    • Postal sector etc.
So these are the various opportunities available for Ece Graduates.

DREAM HIGH,WORK HARD AND LEARN WITH PASSION,SUCCESS WILL BE SURELY YOURS.

HOPE THE INFORMATION HELPED YOU AND ALL THE BEST.
