    hello,

    The IAS exam is conducted by union public service commission.the upsc conducts every year.
    there are certain qualification for the post of IAS exam.
    eligibility:: the candidate must complete graduation from any recognized university.
    age:: the candidate agemust be between 21 to 28 years.there will be age relaxation for the candidates who are resaerrved.the reservation for sc/st is 5years and fjor the candidates who are bc is 3 years.
    recruiting process::: Preliminary, Mains and interview.
    preliminary:: there will be objective exam.
    Mains:: here you can select your subject and there will be compulsary subject.the exam will be in theory based
    after thaat the candidates will be called for interview.

    the notification will be given in papers and official websites.

    A candidate must have attained the age of 21- 30 years...The upper age limit prescribed above will be relaxable...

    maximum of 5years relaxation for sc/st...

    maximum of 3 years for obc...

    maximum of 5 years for ex-servicemen

    maximum of 10 years for handicapped persons....

    To become an IAS officer the students will have to appear for the civil service exam.Civil service examination is conducted by the UPSC every year and eligible students can apply for it .This examination is done for various other post like IAS,IPS,IFS and many other civil service officer post .

    Eligibility ::

    If you want to apply for the exam then you should have passed graduation in any streams from recognized college or universities .

    You should not be more then 30 years and less then 21 years .Relaxation in upper age is given to reserved caste students .

    For SC/ST ->5 years
    For OBC ->3 years .

    Recruitment procedure ::It is completed in two phase :

    1.Preliminary exam
    2.Main exam.:It consist of :
    1.Written exam
    2,Interview

    1.Preliminary exam::It is common for all students and is of objective types .

    Paper 1 : (200 marks) - Duration : Two hrs.
    Paper II: (200 marks) Duration : Two hrs

    2.Main exam:: Students have to choose two optional subjects from a list of subjects available.There will be total 9 papers in the main exam .

    The main examination contains following papers.



    Number of attempts ::

    No of times the general students can apply for the exam is 4 ,SC/ST unlimited times and OBC 7 times .

    Important dates ::

    Date of Notification was: 04.02.2012
    Last Date for Receipt of Applications was: 05.03.2012
    Date of Preliminary Examination is : 20.05.2012

    Dear Aspirant,

    If you want to become a Indian Administrative Service Officer,You have to take a all India Civil Service Exam.

    This examination notification have not released still now.

    According to previous notification age limits for this exam is as follows

    Age Limits for Civil Service Exam:
    • A candidate should attained minimum age is 21 years and not more than 30 years for general category candidate as on 01/August-Exam conducting year
    • 21 years age is the minimum age limit for all category candidates
    • 33 years age is the maximum age limit for Backward category candidates
    • 35 years age is the maximum age limit for Schedule Category and Schedule Cast candidates
    • 40 years age is the maximum age limit for Physically handicapped candidates.
    Notification released for this exam is as on 04/02/2012

    Last dare for receipt of applications is 05/03/2012(Monday)

    Preliminary Exam Date:

    Date of Commencement of Exam is 20/05/2012(Sunday)

    Duration of Preliminary Exam one day

    Mains Exam Date:

    Date of commencement of Mains Exam is 05/10/2012(Friday)

    IAS exam is conducted by UPSC in once time in year.

    Those candidate are graduate from any recognized university with any discipline are eligible for IAS exam.

    But your age should be in between 22 to 30 years old.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC category as per govt rule.

    The maximum attempts for SC/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.

    Also you must be in citizen in India.

    Optional subjects for IAS main exam:

    Economics , Electrical Engineering,Geography, Geology ,History, Law,Management,Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Medical Science, Philosophy, Physics, Political Science and International Relations, Psychology, Public Administration, Sociology,Statistics, Zoology, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Anthropology,Botany, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Commerce and Accountancy.

    You can choose the subject in sense of your strength .

    The IAS selection process is consist in three way

    1)Preliminary exam
    2)Main exam
    3)Inter View.

    If you want to become IAS officer then you have to pass the graduation in any stream you want from the recognized university.

    IAS exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year.

    Eligibility criteria:-

    - pass the graduation from recognized university.

    - Age limit:-
    For open category:-21-30year
    For OBC category :- 21-33year
    For ST/SC category:-21-37 year

    - Number of attempts:-
    For open category:- 4
    For ST/SC category:-7

    - UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION conducts IAS exam but it is conducted under civil service exam.

    - Every year conducts this exam.

    - To sit in this exam candidate should have some eligibility criteria completed.

    educational qualification:
    candidate must complete his degree or equivalent from the recognized college or university.

    age limit:
    candidate must be the age group of 21 to 30 years of age. there is relaxation for reserved candidates.
    the relaxation will be 3years for obc candidates, 5years for sc/st candidates, 5years for ex-servicemen...etc

    Age limit for the UPSC - IAS varies according to the caste wise in indian government sector.

    Age limit for civil service exam is:


    General category:
    candidate must have attained 21 years and not be over 30 years on August 1 of the year of examination.

    SC/ST:
    up to a maximum of 5 years.

    OBC:
    up to a maximum of 3 years.

    AGE CRITERIA:

    The age limit for the IAS exam taken by UPSC is varied according to catagory .
    For general catagory the age limit is between 21-28 years
    For obc catagory there are 3 years relaxion on the upper age limit means age limit is not more than 31
    For sc/ st catagory there are 5 years relaxion on the upper age limit so maximum age will be allowed is 33 .

    IAS stand for Indian Administrative Service.

    There are civil service exam which is conduct every year by UPSC.

    Candidate must have graduate degree in any stream from recognised university.

    Age should be minimum 21 and maximum 30 years for general categories.

    Relaxation for obc is 3 year and for sc/st is 5 year
    .

    In IAS exam only four attempts for general,for obc 7 attempts and no limit for sc/st.

    Indian Adminstration Service is the one of the challenging exams in India conducted by UPSC

    Here are the details of Age relaxation:

    A candidate should be 21 and should not be over 30 years .
    Here are some of the relaxation Details:
    1)The Schedule Cast and Scheduled Tribe Candidates can have relaxation of upper age limit of 5 years.
    2)OBC candidates can have relaxation of 3 years in the upper age limit.
    3)Candidates from Jammu will have the relaxation of 5 years.
    4)Candidates from Indian Army and also have relaxation
    5)Physically disabled candidates can have relaxation upto 5 years in the upper age limit

    Hello guest, First of all i would like to inform you that there is no change in the Age Criteria of UPSC IAS Exam. The Age criteria is as follows:
    >FOR GENERAL CATEGORY: (21-30) years as on the prescribed date
    > Age relaxation : A) upto 3 years for OBC categories B) upto 5 years for SC/ST categories C) upto 10 years for PWD(persons with other disabilities)
