Minimum education criteria = Graduate

Age limit for civil service exam is:

General category:
candidate must have attained 21 years and not be over 30 years on August 1 of the year of examination.

SC/ST:
up to a maximum of 5 years.

OBC:
up to a maximum of 3 years.

Information Regarding IPS and IAS Exams :

IAS stands for Indian Administration Service and IPS stands for Indian Police Service and these are conducted by the union public service commission under the civil service exams.

And these are conducted every year once and writing the IPS and IAS exams, you need to qualify the following required requirements such as...

Required Requirements :

For IAS and IPS, the required educational qualifications are you must completed the GRADUATION from recognized university and here NOT required any percentage.

For both, required minimum age limit should be 21 years and maximum age limit should be 3 years and here age relaxation available for following reserved category candidates as per govt rules.

= = > 3 years for OBC candidates,
= = > 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

For both, exams you can apply only 4 times for general category candidates and 7 times for OBC candidates and NO LIMIT for SC/ST/PH/Ex-Service man candidates.

Selection Procedure :
