    If you want to become a I.A.S Officer.You have to take All India Civil Service Exam.

    This Exam have two stages and final one is Interview.

    First State of Exam is called Preliminary Exam.We have Preliminary Exam as on May/20/2012

    Notification for Preliminary Exam released as on February/04/2012

    According previous years notification for age limits for I.A.S Officers Exam is as follows

    Age Limits:

    General Category Candidates:

    A Candidate should attained minimum age is 21 years and not maximum 30 years of age as on 01/August/Examination Conducting year

    BC/SC/ST Candidates:

    Upper age limit is relxable for Three Years for Backward Category and Five years for SC/ST Candidates.


    Last Date for Submissions of Applications is March/05/2012

    If you are qualified in preliminary Exam.You have to take Mains Exam

    Examination Date of Mains Exam as on October/05/2012(Duration 21 Days)

    IAS stand for Indian Administrative Service. UPSC conduct civil service exam for IAS every year.

    For sit in this exam Age should be minimum 21 and maximum 30 years for general categories.

    Relaxation for obc is 3 year and for sc/st is 5 year. There is no any relaxation for women government employe.

    Candidate must have Bachelor degree from recognised university.

    In IAS exam only four attempts for general,for obc 7 attempts and no limit for sc/st.

    Fee for general and obc category is Rs. 100. No fee for sc/st/pd.

    Sorry to say that women are not having any special reservation in Civil service Exams. But you can take advantage of reservation if you are in back-word class.
    IAS stands for Indian Administrative Services.
    To become IAS Officer in future, you have to cracked the UPSC Civil services examination.

    Examination pattern

    1) Preliminary (UPSC CSAT)
    2) Main Exam

    Eligibility Criteria

    Age Limit

    General category: 21 -30 years

    (Upper age limit relax able for SC, ST, OBC as per Govt. Rule)

    Educational Qualification

    You must hold a degree from recognized university.

    Number of attempts

    General - 4
    OBC - 7
    SC / ST - No Limit
