12th class candidate can apply for CWE examination. But on the other hand, there are certain specific criteria which you need to fulfill to apply for this exam. You need to pursue 12th class with 50% marks from recognized institute. Reserved category candidates who are interested to appear for CWE are allowed relaxation in percentage of marks. A relaxation of 3% is allowed for OBC category and 5% is allowed for SC/ST categories. Since, you have only scored 38% in 12th class you cannot apply for CWE. Detailed information about this exam can be made available from official website.

    HELLO FRIEND ,

Yes you can apply, but you want to check the eligibilty of specific bank among 19 bank sectors.

Because some of the bank requires 60% in twelth standard and 55% in tenth standard and pass in under graduation degree.

    Anyway all the best

    Thank you

Re: Am i eligible for appearing CWE exam after passing 10th with 72% and 12th with 38%?

    Hi,

The eligibility criteria for CWE(common written examination) conducted by IBPS:-

    Age criteria
Minimum age required in 18 years
    Maximum age required is 30 years with relaxation as per government rules for reserved class candidates;
For SC/ST, the upper age is relaxed by 05 years
For OBC, the upper age is relaxed by 03 years
For VI,OH,Physically handicapped/ex-servicemen, the upper limit is relaxed by 10 years.

    Educational Qualification
A pass in Xth with 55% marks in aggregate OR
A pass in XIIth with 60% marks in aggregate from recognized board OR
A pass in graduation from a recognized university with 65% marks in aggregate.

The educational qualification depends on which CWE you are appearing, be it either clerical or PO/MT or Specialist Officer.

In view of the eligibility criteria and your marks in XII, you are not eligible for CWE of IBPS.

    Thanks

You will not be eligible for appearing in the cwe exam.
This exam is conducted by ibps for clerical grade.
The minimum age requirement is 18 years.
The minimum educational should be 10+2.
The percentage of marks required is as follows:-
    In class 10 - 60% and above
    In class 12 - 55% and above

The point is that you have got only 38% then may not even a pass out candidate, you must reappear for this exam again for getting good marks and gain higher percentage.
This marks and percentage will help in getting good jobs in government sectors.

    Hello Mayur

This is Saurav from Bhubaneswar.Well I feel really sorry to say that you are not eligible to apply for IBPS CWE because you are not satisfying the minimum qualification required for appearing the exam.Well I am not sure whether they would allow you to appear the exam or not since they are just looking for candidates having any graduate degree from a recognized university having age between 20 to 30 .There is no where mentioned anything about the percentage criteria. This means you may still be allowed to appear for written test. But yeah each and every participating bank would surely have their own eligibility criteria apart from a mere valid scorecard.I think you will not face any trouble until appearing the exam. But things will get worse for you after qualifying the exam and applying for interview.

To be honest the news is not good for you because most of the banks have 55% minimum criteria or even more throughout academics. This is true to the best of my knowledge. You may suffer rejection even after having a high score because these nationalized banks follow a strict rule while selection procedure.Anyways you don't feel bad for anything.Forget about what has gone.Try for this exam and leave the rest on to the hands of almighty.Who knows may be miracle could happen from anywhere. You may also opt for higher studies for creating some more opportunities for yourself.Hope my information helps you redefining a better future.Best of luck.

    Regards Saurav
