    Am I eligible for IES after passing B.Tech in Electronics and Instrumentation?

    I have passed B.Tech in Electronis & Instrumentation ,And i am intrested IES. So can i eligible for the same

    Yes you are. The same exam will be held in the month of november . For more information regarding examination please feel free to visit the website www.upsc.gov.in
    You must complete the graduation. There will be two tests. If you reach a qualifying mark in preliminary level you will called for final exam.and only he you reach a qualifying mark in final level you will be called for interview. Interview is for 250 marks. Interview is to asses a candidate overall personality and to gauge his level of knowledge and awareness of current affairs.

    Age must be more than 21 years and less than 30 years and for SC, St government servant is 5 years, for obc is 3 years and for physically challenged is 10 years.
    The applicant must be citizen of india.
    About education:- he should have degree in engineering, final year students too can apply for it, the candidates have to be physically fit as per guidlines by upsc.

    2 Mechanical Engineering
    3 Electrical Engineering

    Brief About IES (Indian Engineering Services) && IES (Indian Economic Services)

    Upsc Conducts Both the Exam Every year. Before Engineering Exam called as IES Exam but now its Engineering Services Exam (ESE) and IES Is Indian Economic Services.

    For Engineering Services Exam (ies as specified by you)
    • Eligibility:-
      • Only Final year Or passed out Students from Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics & telecommunication branches are Eligible.
      • Being a Computer Science Student Sorry to say but you can't write Engineering Services Exam.
      • Age:-Must be in between 21 to 30 years of Age.

    • Eligibility:-

    Hello friend

    yes friend you are eligible for IES
    students with graduation degree of electronics n comunication engineering, electrical engg.,civil and mechanical engg. are permitted to appear for IES exam. you can give the exam by mentioning your branch of graduation as electronics n communication.. no criteria of marks is required,, only your graduation degree is needed.... one thing to mention that the age limit is 21-30 years..

    Yes , EI departments are eligible for IES exam . But you have to choose the below mention departments.

    ELIGIBLE DEPARTMENT OF IES EXAM:-


    IES is eligible for given below department of engineering.

    1.Civil Engineering
    2.Electrical Engineering
    3.Mechanical engineering.
    4.Electronics and Communication Engineering.

    The applicant age should between 21 yrs to 30 yrs.

    yes , you are eligible for the IES exam after the Electronics and Instrumentation..

    IES exam:
    IES is the Indian Engineering Service for which entrance exam has been conducted by the UPSC departments ...only four engineering students can apply for these exam:

    Electrical engineer
    Electronics engineer
    Civil engineer
    Mechanical engineer

    Eligibility for the IES exam:
    Educational Qualification: you should be passed the graduation in engineering trade with atleast 55% marks from any recognized university.

    Age limit: age must be between the 21 to 30 years

    The Eligibility criteria for the IES Exam is as follows:

    Educational qualifications:

    Degree in:
    * Electrical Engineering
    * Electronics & Communication Engineering
    * civil Engineering
    * Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree from recognized universities.
    * M.Sc. degree or equivalent with wireless communication,Electronics subject is also acceptable for certain posts.
    * Students of final year Engineering or equivalent degree also eligible.

    AGE LIMITS:

    Not less than 21 years and not more than 30 years as on August 1st on year of conduct of examination(upper age is relaxable for SCs/STs,OBCs and certain others)

    HOW TO APPLY:
    UPSC applications are available for Rs. 20/- at notified post offices all over the country. Rs. 100/- through central Recruitment Fee stamp only shall be attached. There is a Fee exemption for SC/ST/Female/PH candidates.Please mark exam code as ENGG and not as IES.IES means Indian Economic Service.

    • IES refers to the Indian engineering services which is conducted by the UPSC every year.
    • You need to be the citizen of India or subject of Nepal/bhutan.
    • As per the criteria of age, your's age must be between 21 years to 30 years as on 1st august of the year of examination.
    • Age relaxations will be provided to the reserved category.
    • As per education qualification, you must have a degree in an engineering which will be from an recognised university.
    • Even final year students are also eligibile for it.
