    Am i eligible to write government Bank Exam being a B.Com in General?

    is there any such thing called "promotion"?
    i mean to say if i get clerical job will i be promoted to higher post in near future?
    will i have to give exams for that?

    Of course being a B.COM. you are eligible for IBPS/SBI clerk/PO exams.You can apply following eligibility criteria.

    IBPS Eligibility:-

    Education: Minimum a Graduate from the recognized University in any discipline can write IBPS/SBI clerk /PO CWE.

    Age: For clerk: General: 20-28 years, relaxations for OBC 3 years, S/c S/T 5 years, PWD: 10 years.

    Nationality: Indian.

    IBPS PO Age eligibility: General: 20-30 years, relaxations for OBC: 3 years, S/C ST : 5 years, PWD: 10 years.

    Yes you can get the government bank jobs.

    Educational Qualification for Clerical : A degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.


    Educational Qualification for PO : A degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.


    No percentage criteria for both the exams.

    Here are details of Bank clerk salary-

    Basic Pay : Rs. 7200 to 8400
    After 3 years 8400 to 9900/-
    After total 6 years 9900 to 12300/-
    After total 10 years 12300 to 17200/-
    After total 17 years 17200 to18500/-
    Dearness Allowance (DA) - Presently 84.15 %
    HRA 10% or 9% or 7.5% and 7% depending on the place of posting.
    Hence total Payment in cities around 14000/- and in rural area 13000/- Approx.
    As the DA and other allowance are on basic pay, so when the annual increment basic increase the other allowance will also increase accordingly.
    after all if your work is good so you can get the PO Post.

    Hello dude!

    As you have completed B.Com you are eligible for writing the banking examinations conducted by IBPS,SBI or any other banks.The eligibility details of the Clerical posts are:
    • Candidate must be citizen of India.
    • Must have completed graduation from any recognized university.
    • Minimum age allowed is 18 years and applicable for all categories.
    • The maximum age is 28 years.
    • The candidates belonging to SC/ST category will get 5 years upper age relaxable.
    • The candidates belonging to OBC category will get 3 years upper age relaxable.
    • The candidates belonging to Physically handicapped category will get 10 years upper age relaxable.
    • The candidates belonging to Ex-service men category will get 5 years upper age relaxable.
    These are the details of the examination conducted by IBPS and they are also applicable for other exams also.

    Coming to your doubt regarding promotions,After working for two years you will be getting promotion as Probationary Officer.So you need not worry and if you get selected,happily you can join the banks.

    YES, you would definitely get promotions from Clerical cadre to Scale 1 officer cadre
    In the Govermentbanks there are exams for promotions
    Also after working for a certain period of time you are eligible for Promotion Interviews

    You can apply for the IBPS Clerks exams
    IBPS holds this exams for 20 Government banks

    Graduation Pass candidates of any stream can apply for this exams
    Age should be between 20 and 28 years
    OBC gets 3 years and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxations

    Selection procedure involves:
    Written Tests
    Interview

      also in general category, you are
      eligibile to write the bank
      examination.
    • You can apply for the
      bank clerk examination and bank
      probationary officer examination
      conducted by SBI.
    • For both
      examination, your's b.com degree
      make you eligibile for it.
    • The age
      limit determined for the bank clerk
      examination is from 18 years to 28
      years.
    • However for the bank
      probationary officer examination, the
      age should be in between 21 years to
      30 years.
    • As per the notification of
      each examination, upper age
      relaxations is provided to reserved
      category students.

    Yes, you are preferable to write government Bank exam.


    Bank exams are organized by both Institute of Banking Personnel Selection and State Bank of India every year.


    The educational qualifications regarding with Bank exams are below mentioned:-

    # Candidates must have passed their bachelor degree in any curriculum from any approved institution.

    # Candidates of last year of bachelor degree are not preferable for this exam.

    # There is no need of percentage criteria for this exam.


    The age criteria and relaxation regarding with Bank exams are below mentioned:-

    # 20-28 years(Clerk).

    # 20-30 years(Probationary Officer).

    # Relaxation:- 3 years, 5 years and 10 years are granted for OBC, SC/ST and PH candidates.
