Re: Am i eligible to write government job exam at an age of 35 years?

    Hi Guest,

No sir, you cannot write exam for govt. job. The age limit varies from 20 years to 30 years for most of the jobs and only few jobs ask for 325 years of job.

So you can go through different notifications and apply for the kind of job which you are applicable for. Be cautious in verifying the age limit.

    Thank You,

    All the Best.

    Hello Sir!

Your question is incomplete sir,you must have mentioned the category you belong to.

But still i wil try to explain you,if you belong to Scheduled caste/Scheduled tribe then you may be eligible for the government exams.

But if you belong to general category or OBC category you are not eligible for writing the exams.

Try to re post the question with complete details,so that you will get a perfect answer from us.

    Dear candidate,
-Although your chances to appear for all the premier government jobs are dim due to your age factor, you are surely eligible to apply for the various posts in teaching profession in government schools, provided you hold the requisite degree.
-Also,if you belong to the reserved category, then your chances are pretty enhanced to apply for government jobs.
-If you have an experience, then you can also appear for some interviews directly for the government posts.
    -Wish you luck.

Re: Am i eligible to write government job exam at an age of 35 years?

Dear guest, It depends on some factors viz. which category you belong to , from which state you belong etc. But you haven't mentioned any one of this. So, it is quite hard to give your answer. Anyway, let me provide you some basic information regarding age relaxation. If you belong to general category then i am sorry to say that you have almost missed the oppurtunities to appear in govt service recruitment exams. But if you are an OBC/SC/ST, then there are still a number of oppurtunity to appear in govt service recruitment exam. In general for govt service recruitment exam OBC has 3 years age relaxation & SC/ST's have 5 years age relaxation.

Re: Am i eligible to write government job exam at an age of 35 years?

    Hello Friend.....
Sorry Dude you can not apply for the government jobs at the age of 35 years, only the candidates who are of the Physically challenged categories only can apply for the government jobs at the age of 35 years, also for some of the jobs there is no chance to apply also.the upper age limit for any of the jobs is 30 years only.....

There are many government related jobs and many of the government organisations which recruits the candidates of relevant branches of studies....
some of the government related fields are....
*IBPS(Institute of banking personnel selection) conducts the recruitment of candidates in to various public sector banks and it follows some eligibility criteria and the upper age limit will be 30 years...
*UPSC conducts different services for the selection of candidates in to different categories of jobs such as...
    Civil services
    IFS
    Defense services CDS,NDA,etc....
These are some of services which are offered by the UPSC and the upper age limit is the 30 years...
*APPSC also conducts the recruitment for the government sector posts such as Group examinations....For these examinations also the upper age limit will be 30 years....
There are also many other organisations which recruits the candidates such as,....
    ONGC
    ECIL
    Steel
    Oil refineries,etc...
These are some of the organisations which recruits the candidates depending on the relevant branch of studies and there will be eligibility criteria to be followed and the upper age limit will be 30 years....

Every government related examinations will be having the upper age limits also will be present but at the age of 35 years you can not apply even the SC/ST candidates age limit is 35 years and only PH candidates had the chance of applying for the examinations.....

    Hello Dear

This is Saurav from Bhubaneswar. Its good to see people of your age still willing to write competitive exams.Well life is all about competition.A little negligence and a little rest may through anyone out of race.I really like your spirit to face the challenging world.Anyways first of all I would like to make few things very much clear before going deep into your topic. In any govt job you apply there will be minimum qualification set by the hiring authority no matter how many seats available for vacancy. To be honest "AGE" is an important criteria in every sector. You have to live up with this fact. No organization will compromise on age unless you are from reserved category.Looking at your age it seems you will face this problem wherever you apply.Your age is 35 years.Which means you have face disqualification when it comes to writing different competitive exams.

But yeah if you are an experienced candidate and looking for experienced level entry into any organization then that would be a different issue. If you are experienced candidate then no need to worry because no organization imposes a age bar kind of a criteria for experienced candidates.

As per the govt norms and rules, each and every govt sector jobs set their criteria accordingly abiding the rules. However the relaxation is given some section of people or some section of society to encourage them.

    GENERAL CATEGORY:
The govt doesn't provide any reservation in terms of number of seat, age relaxation or cutoff marks to the general category people. You may expect Age limit for govt sector to be 18 -30 years. So you may expect no relaxation whatsoever.

    O.B.C CATEGORY:
For O.B.C CATEGORY govt sector provide only 3% reservation in both marks and age criteria. So, you may expect the age limit to be around 18 - 33 years. But remember O.B.C category under creamy layer will not be allowed to exercise the advantages of O.B.C non creamy layer. So if the O.B.C is under creamy layer then it would be considered same as that of General category.

    SC/ST CATEGORY:
For SC/ST category candidates ,the reservation in terms of seats, age and marks is a bit better than O.B.C category. The govt provides 5% reservation in terms of both age & marks criteria. So,the age limit is around 18 - 35 years.

    PERSONS WITH DISABILITY:
For these peoples govt sector provide 10% reservation. So you may expect the age limit for these people to be around 18 - 40 years.

    WOMEN/Female candidate:

According to govt ,the reservation for women is one third of the total seats available as vacancy. There is no relaxation given in terms of age. However the concerned organization may tamper this rule taking into consideration the working condition favorable for candidate. There may not be any age relaxation or relaxation in terms of marks.

EX-SERVICEMEN/MINORITIES/DOMICILE OF J&K ETC.: yes this is very much true. Some organization also give relaxation to certain minority sections and Ex-servicemen candidate. Also domicile of J&K,or Assam are given some relaxation in terms of age and marks or vacancies.

Anyways let me tell you.If you are from general category & without any work experience then I am sorry, please forget about govt jobs. You wont be allowed to appear in any exam.

    Regards Saurav

The age limit for different kinds of jobs have different age limits

Age limit for Civil services : 21-30 years
