    hiii..
Since a number of government hospitals are functioning in different parts of India each of these hospitals has its own nursing sector and nurses are appointed in these sectors to offer assistance to patients. There are a number of government hospitals in India like:

    • Government TB and CD hospital, Karnataka

    • Indira Gandhi Institute of Child Health Hospital, Karnataka

    • ESI Hospitals in different parts of the country

    • General Hospitals in different cities

In addition to these hospitals, there are a number of government colleges cum hospitals in India and nursing candidates can find employment opportunities in the nursing sector of these hospitals. Candidates can also find employment opportunities in the health departments of a particular village or town.

Educational qualification needed to finding Nursing jobs in government hospitals:

Normally candidates with Bachelor of Science/Master of Science in nursing can find jobs in nursing sector. However, if he/she wishes to take up some specific field of nursing like peadiatric nursing, obstetrics & gynecology nursing, psychiatry nursing, etc…they will have to take up that particular major at the PG level, which will improve their job opportunities in that particular sector.

What are the different positions in the nursing sector in Government organizations?

Normally, government organizations recruit nurses under different job titles like:

    • Staff nurse

    • Senior nurse

    • Pediatric Nurse

    • Nursing Superintendent

    • Nursing supervisor

    • Charge nurse

    • Patient care coordinator

With the improvement in the health care industry, more and more hospitals are being established in India both under private and under government ownership and therefore, there will be a wide range of employment opportunities in the nursing sector in the future.
