Re: Bank exam details? Qualification required for bank exam?

In order to secure a job in any bank, one should appear and qualify written examination conducted by each bank. IBPS is the central authority which conducts written examination for around 19 public sector banks. Several other public sector banks like SBI conduct their own individual exams to select candidates for various posts. There are different positions for which notifications will be published by banks. In case of clerical positions, the minimum qualification is a 10th class with 60% marks from a recognized institute. Those who have completed 12th class with 50% marks can also apply for this position. Age limit to attend this exam is between 18-28 years. For PO position, candidates should be a graduate from a recognized institute. Minimum age limit specified for this post is 20 years. Those who are above 30 years cannot apply for this post. For reserved categories age relaxation is allowed both for clerical and PO positions. Candidates will be tested in subject areas such as GK, Numerical Ability, Computer Awareness, Logical Reasoning, Language and Comprehension etc. Those who qualify in written exam need to appear for P.I in case of Clerical position and includes GD and P.I for PO posts.
