I'm doing my third year ECE now. I need to know what job to choose from here on. I'm in a confusion to select field of my future job. Which shall be suitable for me? Whether i shall go with Software side or core company side? Kindly mail me the solution.

As said that you are still perusing Btech degree, so you are still not eligible for Group A, B and C posts which is conducted by UPSC / PSC every year.

Some of the posts you are eligible for applying are :-

Social Security Assistant at Employment Provident Fund Organization
Multi Tasking Staff at Employers State Insurance Corporation
Police Constable in Police Department
Lower Divisional Clerk in Central Government

Besides this, you are also eligible for applying Bank clerical post only if your percentage in SSC is 60% and PUC is 50%.

If you are appearing for the exam in Third year of B.tech , your age should be between 18-24 years only


In Final year of B.tech : -

There are many opportunities there for a candidate belonging to ECE department.But as per the details you mentioned,you are still in 3rd year.So first i would like to suggest you to concentrate on the final year and also on the CAMPUS INTERVIEWS that are going to be conducted.Once if you get selected then you need not waste time after 4th year.

The jobs for which you are eligible being an UNDERGRADUATE are:

* Ibps clerk Exam : The exam requires 10th or 10+2 as educational qualification with 55-60% of marks and the age must be in between 18-30 years.

* V.R.O and V.R.A Exam: The exam is conducted only in the TELUGU language.Candidates upto 30 years are eligible.

* Indian Railways: The selection process is done by a written exam followed by an Interview.The exam is conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board.

* Indian navy.

* Postal jobs.

The above mentioned are some of the jobs available for an Under Graduate.

NOTE: Try to write the GATE EXAM and get a good score which helps you in Pursuing Higher studies in Top Government Colleges and also some Public Sector Undertakings like B.H.E.L,B.E.L,NTPC recruit candidates based on the GATE score.

There are no set rules or criteria governing the decision to go for core or a software/IT company. It is more out of your personal choice, job availability and the salary offered. So u have to make a decision yourself considering what out of those holds more value/importance to u. Also, u can only work after u finish ur B.Tech. However u can start applying to vacancies and can participate in on-campus placements once u are in ur final year.
