    Hello dear,

GATE exam is conducted to check your technical and aptitude knowledge learned in BTech . After qualifying in this exam,
you are eligible for the course of Mtech in several IITs , NITs or governemnt colleges.
    Some of these colleges are:
    - IIT delhi
    - IIT Mumbai
    - IIT Kanpur
    - IIT kharagput
    - NIT warangal
    - NIT Surathkal
    - NIT Allahabad.

You also get a stipend of approx Rs.8000 if you join Mtech after qualifying GATE exam.
Many PSU companies like PowerGrid, HPCL, BPCl, IOCL, BHEL have started recruiting on the basis of score achieved in GATE exam.
You need to score atleast 98percentile to have good chances of getting selected in these companies.
