Study the course of your interest and apply for the company which wants the course you studied. Then it will worth and it will increase your salary and respect in the coworkers.
So go for your interest is the best.
Yes it is better because mostly electronic core companies need a candidates who have already skilled in VLSI, PLC, etc so that they won't take any headache to provide training for you. and thats the reason why electronic core companies won't go for campus placement because in campus every student is fresher and they don't know practical knowledge about VLSI or PLC.
I would suggest you to do these courses, it will surely help you for better job.
you have good opportunities in govt sector and also private sector.........

Hi,
VLSI and Ebedded both hv good career scope n job oppurtunity.... it totaly depend on your chosic in which stream u r intreasted...
if ur software as well as hardware part both are strong so u should definetly go for embedded....because embedded is the combination of softawarwe n hardware.....
and after this u cn get job in diffrent manufecturing companies like... auto mobile, home applinces, robotics etc....
