Re: Can a final year B.Tech student attend the RRB exam?

Definitely the engineering graduates can attend the Railway recruitment board exam. This exam mainly involves the candidates to have a minimum graduation in any discipline. Since you have done your engineering, you can apply for pure technical positions which come vacant in the Railways.

The details regarding this will be published as notifications. Hence the qualifications will differ as per the types of posts which are called in for. But always the standard qualifications remain a graduation degree. Also the candidates should have secured or completed the graduation from a reputed and recognized institution or university.

The age limits fall in between 18 years and 30 years for attending the exam. Always there will be reservations in case of the reserved categories such as SC/ST/OBC and also the other categories. Regarding the issue of work experience, it depends from one post to another. Certain posts may require them to have practical work experience which will help them to do their job in a better way. This will serve as an added advantage in case of this exam.

The candidates have to attend the written examination which will be generally an objective type examination. The candidates should be proficient in areas of arithmetic abilities, language skills, reasoning skills, general awareness, apart from the technical areas which need to be stressed.

Re: Can a final year B.Tech student attend the RRB exam?

Of course, a final year B.Tech student can appear in the Railway Recruitment Board ( RRB)exam. The required minimum educational qualification for appearing in the RRB exam is a Graduation degree in any stream from any recognized university and the Age limit is 18 to 30 years and there is a provision of relaxation in upper age limit for the reserved categories candidates belonging to SC/ST & OBC, as per the prevailing government rules.
As asked about the work experience, it is not mendatory for all types of jobs, but it is always that preference is given to the candidates having some work experience in the relevant field. Generally, the mode of selection is a written exam of objective type followed by an interview etc.
