    Can I apply for Drug Inspector after passing MSc Chemistry and BSc Microbiology?

    i am M.Sc chemistry and B.Sc. Microbiology can i apply Drug inspctor

    Yes you can definitely apply for the Drug Inspector exam with the above mentioned qualifications. The main criterion for applying for the post of Drug Inspector is a graduation in pharmacy or medicine. The candidates should also have done clinical pharmacology as the main subject. The candidates who have done a graduation in microbiology can also apply for the post of Drug inspector. The candidates should have completed the graduation from a recognized university or college. In order to attend this exam, it is mandatory for the candidates to take up the pharmacy qualification from the college which is recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India. The candidates should be between 21 32 years. There is age relaxation in case of the reserved categories such as SC/ST/OBC etc. Another important criterion being that the candidate should have relevant years of work experience in this specific field. The candidates should have experience in the specific field. At least 3 years of experience should be in the field of pharmaceutical manufacturing. The basis of selection will be based on the performance in the written examination. The drug inspector exam is conducted by the UPSC every year.     Hallo Friend,

    Yes,after completing M.Sc in Chemistry & also after completing B.Sc in Microbiology, you can apply for Drug Inspector(D.I.) post. Here, I will discuss in short about the Drug Inspector jobs in Government Sector and its proper eligibility for applying.The Drug Inspector job is conducted every year from Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) under Common Written Examination.The exam consists of two part.One is the written part, and the other is the Interview part.Here is discussed about the eligibility:

    1.Educational Qualification:
    The candidate must complete graduation in Pharmaceutical Science or B.Pharma from renowned University. Also, those candidates who are graduate in medicine with Microbiology specialization or Clinical pharmacology is also eligible for this post of Drug Inspector. Besides, if you complete M.Sc in chemistry or if you complete B.Sc in Microbiology, then you can also be eligible for applying as Drug Inspector.

    2.Age Limitation:
    The age limitation is between 21-30 years in which the candidates can apply. However, the SC/ ST/ OBC/ PC candidates can have their age relaxation from 3-5 years as pet the rule of State Government.

    3.Selection Procedure:
    The selection process will be direct recruitment of the candidates on the basis of Combined Entrance Examination conducted every year with UPSC CWE exam.

    4.Examination Pattern:
    The Examination pattern consists of two papers that includes:
    1.General Studies and Mental Ability test of 150 marks. And
    2.Paper of own subject of 150 marks which includes:

    a.Disester Management,
    b.Indian History,
    c.Indian Politics & economics,
    d.Mental Ability,
    e.General Science,

    Yes, B.Sc in Microbiology student are eligible for DRUG INSPECTOR EXAM.

    Drug Inspector exams are conducted by mostly by all state government for their states.

    The eligibility criteria for this exam is given below.

    If You have completed Graduation degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences or Medicine with specialization in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology from a recognized University or equivalent then you are applicable for Drug Inspector Exam.


    Also you have 3 years' experience in the manufacture or testing of Biological science department.


    Your age should be above 18 years.Your maximum age must be below 32 years.
