    Hello dude!

State bank of India is set to start the recruitment for the probationary officer posts and clerical posts. The management is about to release the notification regarding the 19000 clerical and 1000 probationary officer posts. The eligibility details of the clerical exam is mentioned below:
    • Candidate must be citizen of India.
    • Candidates who have completed intermediate with atleast 60% of marks or who have completed graduation from any recognized university can apply for the exam.
    • Minimum age allowed is 18 years and applicable for all categories.
    • The maximum age is 26 years.
    • The candidates belonging to SC/ST category will get 5 years upper age relaxable.
    • The candidates belonging to OBC category will get 3 years upper age relaxable.
    • The candidates belonging to Physically handicapped category will get 10 years upper age relaxable.
    • The candidates belonging to Ex-service men category will get 3 years upper age relaxable along with their service i.e; if they have worked for 20 years then 20+3 years is the maximum age upto which they can apply for the exam.
These are the eligibility details of the exam.As you belong to Ex-Service men quota, the upper age is relaxable for 3 years in addition to the service rendered in defense services. For example,if you have worked in army for 20 years and as the maximum age limit of the exam is 26 years then you can apply for the exam up to 49 years.

In 12th standard you must have at least 60% and if you belong to open category then you are not eligible. But if you belong to OBC/SC/ST category then you are eligible because the percentage required in this case is 55% only. The biggest question is that the Government of India announced that Graduation is must for clerical jobs,Ibps followed this rule and made the changes accordingly but we don't know whether Sbi follows that rule or not.

Coming to the number of attempts, they are as follows:
    • For General category-4 attempts
    • For OBC category-7 attempts
    • For SC/ST category-No limit

These are the complete details of the clerk exam conducted by State Bank of India.
Hope the information helped you and all the best.
