    HELLO,
You can try for all bank's,railways etc... IF you get them you can to these jobs because these does not depend on your qualification.
BUT some posting like bhel, bel .if you get them you should not go for that type of exams there you will be caught.
    good luck.

Re: Can I try for government job after doing engineering 3rd year?

The possibility of getting in to government jobs while in the 3rd year of engineering is not possible. The candidates can apply for the government while being in the final year of graduation. Even though you are applying for the government jobs at the final year of graduation, you should be able to submit the educational certificates at the time of interview if selected in the written examination. If the candidates are not able to submit the certificates their candidature will be cancelled. Hence, while being in the 3rd year of engineering you cannot apply for government jobs.

But on the other hand, there are many government jobs which you can apply for being the 4th or final year of engineering such as

UPSC or SSC examinations- There are many competitive examinations which are held by the Union Public service Commission and the staff service Commission. The job openings may be in the following government sectors such as
    • Railways
    • Civil services
    • Telecom
    • Income Tax
    • Excise and Customs
    • Defense sector
    • Banking sector

However candidates can apply for the post of clerks in banks while being in the 3rd year of graduation. They need to have only a 12th class qualification. For the entire above mentioned job opportunities the basis of the selection will be based on the written examinations.

    My dear friend
Why not .Yes you can try government jobs from the 3rd year onwards. The jobs like banking Indian railway Indian army,Indian navy,Indian Air force. These exams having a written tests to joining the their sector. So If you prepare from the 3rd year onwards you do not have any problem of your main exams in while you are in 4th year.So i think that that is good.My sincer suggestion is prepare all entrance exams for government what you want to become in third years on wards and make a concentrate also your main exams. So do like this you will get good job in government sector
    All the best

    Dear Friend,

All the Best for clearing arrears and get good percentage. Yes, you can. Try to watch on Employment newspapers from this stage(3rd year) itself. Its give some ideas and how to apply in the future. Meanwhile try to prepare for exams yourself in the your core field. After finished your third year you can apply for the government jobs like UPSC, Banking, Defense, and lots more...
