Re: Career option in government sector after graduation with 45% marks?

    Hello

Percentage is always a issue as it gives an idea about students talent and potential, his abilities. Now although in government jobs, the final selection is made after clearing the entrance exam that is conducted by the respective departments and then personal interview. But in order to apply for the entrance exam,in most of the government sector it is necessary to have minimum percentage of 60%.

You do not have that percentage, then it is going to be difficult for you to land a good job.As there are very few departments where percentage requirement is low.If you can do masters, that will open new options for you in future, the limited opportunities that you have is been mentioned below

1)You can apply for defence, through entrance exam named as CDSE(Combined Defence Service Examination)-it is a entrance exam through which you can apply for all three wings of defence.Through CDSE you can apply for IMA(Indian Military Academy)-a entry in army,OTA(officers Training Academy)-a entry in army,AFA(Air Force Academy)-a entry in air force,NA(Naval Academy)-a entry in navy.

The qualification required for applying in IMA,OTA is graduation from any stream.Graduation from any stream but with physics and maths in 10+2 for AFA.Graduation with B.SC(physics and maths) or else B.TECH.

The point is that you just need to have pass marks in your graduation,no minimum percentage is required.

2)UPSC conducts civil services exams like IAS(Indian Administrative Services),IPS(Indian Police Services),IFS(Indian Forest Services).
The graduation from any stream is the required qualification and only pass marks is necessary to apply,no minimum percentage is required.
For more details visit the website of UPSC.

3)CPF(Central Police Force)-same qualification required graduation from any stream, where only pass marks is required.
    visit the website of UPSC.
