    Which are the Civil Engineering Government jobs available?

    Please mention the civil engineering jobs-2011 as i am going to complete my engineering in this year..

    It’s a good decision to enter in to the government jobs after completing Civil engineering course. There are many options after completing the Civil engineering course in the government sector. There are many job options which give opportunity for the experienced as well as fresher’s in this field. The candidates can attend the exams which are conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. You can attend the Indian engineering Services (IES) exam as part of this. A graduate with an engineering degree (with any area of specialization) can apply for this exam. If your age is between 21-30 years you can attend this exam. You have also the option of attending the PSC exams. This will help you get in to the job area of Public work departments, construction, design, maintenance, infrastructure development etc. You can also apply for jobs in the Railways, telecom, and consultancy services etc for jobs. The candidates can also work in housing development corporations, municipal corporations etc for jobs. The civil engineering candidates can get in to the following positions after completion of the graduation degree –
    • Site Engineer
    • Senior Project Engineer
    • Civil Supervisors
    • Civil Engineering Project Manager
    • Civil / Structural Engineer
    • Architect/ Civil Project Estimators

    Opportunities in exists in public & private sector in large numbers in all branches of design, construction & maintenance, Infrastructure developments. They can find jobs in Government departments, private & public sector industries, research & teaching institutions, they can also going to road projects, building works, consultancy firms, quality testing laboratory etc.
    They are employed in all major construction projects carried out by state or central govt. the railways, military, engineering services, consultancy services etc.
    The some of govt. sector jobs; ONGC, UPSC, IES, BHEL, BEL, DRDO, IBPS, Railways & Defense field, HAL, GAIL. etc
