    The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the Civil services exam. Indian Administrative Services (IAS) is a part of it. The candidates who wish to attend this exam should have completed their graduation in any discipline. The graduation can be done in any subject area. The candidates should have taken the graduation from any of the reputed institutes which are recognized by the government. There is no set criterion on the percentage of marks that you need to secure in order to attend this exam. The candidates should be above 21 years of age. The candidates should not be above 30 years of age. There is age relaxation in case of the reserved categories.     There are some selection procedure such as:

    Combined Defense Services (CDS) Exam is generally conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) to recruit the Indian Military Academy(IMA), Officers Training Academy(OTA), Naval Academy and Air Force Academy(AFA)

    According to the Eligibility Criteria:

    Flying branch as pilot will be selected through Short Service Commission for men & women

    Age:

    i) 19 to 23 years
    ii) 19 to 25 years for CPL Holders which is issued by DGCA ,India.

    Upper age limit is relaxed up to 25 years.

    Marital Status:

    You have to be Single.

    Nationality:

    You have to be Indian

    Gender:

    Men and women can apply for the examination.

    Educational Qualifications


    1:You have to be Graduate of 3 years course in any discipline from a recognized university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together and have Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level.

    or

    You should have a degree of BE / B Tech of 4 years course from a recognized university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together.

    2. Final year students can also apply,having no backlog and minimum 60 % aggregate marks in the previous year's semesters.

    Dear friend, Indian Administravtive Service(IAS) Exam is conducted by the upsc every year. In order to give IAS exam ,you must have completed your graduation in any stream or you may attempt IAS exam when you are in final year and must complete it before the date specified.Your age must be between 21 years.You can attempt this exam atmost 4 times. UPSC conducts lot of jobs like IAS,IPS,IFS, etc..for getting job in upsc you must have certain qualification.you must have completed graduation in any discipline. your graduation must be completed in any recognized university. your age must between 21 to 30 years.there will be age relaxation for reserved candidates.

    IAS:
    The IAS is the administrative wing of the Indian Government. It comprises of administrative jobs like - Secretary to PM, CM, Aviation, Revenue etc. The IAS belongs to the All India Services category in the civil service

    Eligibility Criteria :-

    The minimum qualification required for appearing the competitive examination is Graduation. Many professionals like Engineers, Doctors, persons with Ph.d qualifications are competing for UPSC

    Preparation:

    First of you need to begin preparation for the prelims. For that you should update yourself in the general studies area. Also you need to select an optional subject. Preferably it should be in the area of specialisation in graduation. After covering all the basic concept level you should go in for solving last few years paper. Make sure to check your errors and correct them. Information regarding the optional subjects is available in the UPSC site.

    Pattern:

    1) General-Studies paper carries 150 marks
    2) Optional paper carries 150 marks.

    Instead of one compulsory paper of General Studies and one Optional paper, both the papers shall be compulsory.

    Required Requirements :

    Application forms appear in the daily newspapers and the 'Rozgar Samachar' and Employment News in December each year.
    >>ELIGIBILITY:

    Candidates applying for the examination must be Indian nationals between 21 and 30 years as on August 1, and for the Forest Service ,as on July 1 of the year of the examination.

    You must have a bachelor's degree or an equivalent in any discipline from a recognized university, although for the Forest service ,you require bachelor's degree in any of the science subjects.

    >>EXAM PATTERN:
    PRELIMINARY EXAM:The preliminary examination , conducted every year in May or June , is a written test comprising two papers. The first paper, which is General Studies carries a maximum marks of 150 on 150 questions, with a time limit of two hours. It mainly covers six topics -Indian History, Constitution of India, Geography ,Economics , Science , and Current Affairs. The second paper is an 'optional' , that is on a subject options to choose from. This paper carries 300 marks on 120 hours long . Both papers are set in objective type paper. More than 1,50,000 candidates sit for the preliminary examination every year and about 3,500 - 5,000 candidates depending on vacancies available are selected. The selected candidates have to then take the main examination.

    MAINS EXAM:The main examination is a written test , held around October or November every year. It comprises two language papers , one in English and the other in an optional Indian language. Marks gained in these papers are not computed in the total score , but passing in both is compulsory for qualification. There are two general studies papers of 300 marks each , and four papers on two optional subjects of your choice of 300 marks each.

    Candidates are selected , depending on the vacancies available at the end of this stage for the interview-cum personality test.

    INTERVIEW TEST:The interviews test is of 300 marks out of a total of 2300 marks, which forms the final eliminatory stage. Conducted in the form of an oral interview , it enables an expert panel to judge first hand , the candidate's personality , ability and aptitude for the job.
