    Is it compulsory to attend the NER exam to get into Indian army?

    What are the qualifications for to become a soldier in Indian Army? Is it compulsory to attend the NER exam?

    A career in Indian Army is considered to be something which is very prestigious. The candidates who are interested in this job area in the Indian Army should attend the NER exam. This is an exam which is conducted 4 times in a year. The candidates are mainly selected to the post of soldiers through this exam. The selected candidates will undergo a training program which makes the candidates fit and eligible for this area of job.

    The most important criteria for becoming a soldier in the Indian Army is that the candidates should have completed their 10th class with science as their main subjects. The candidates should have studied the Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as their main subject areas.

    The candidates should be Indian Nationals between the ages of 16 and 21 years. Only male candidates who are unmarried can apply to the Indian Army. The candidates who are not Indian nationals should submit the certificate of eligibility to the government. There are certain physical requirements that the candidates needs to fulfill in case of height, weight, etc. The selection will be mainly on the basis of the written examinations which will be covering the areas of
    • General Intelligence
    • Mathematical Aptitude
    • General Knowledge

    The selection of the candidates will on merit basis. Only those candidates who qualify in the written exam will called for the Interview.

    Yes u need to give the NER exam to qualify. to get into the Indian Army there are certain physical and medical restrictions that u need to fulfill. Apart from that u need to clear a written exam. there are also some age restrictions.

    A candidate should have robust physique and good mental health. Chest should be well developed having minimum 5 Cms expansion. Should have normal hearing with each ear and good binocular vision in both eyes. He should be able to read 6/6 in distant vision chart with each eye. Colour vision should be CP-III. Should recognize red and green colours. Should have sufficient number of natural healthy gum and teeth i.e. minimum 14 dental points. Should not have disease like deformity of bones, hydrocele and varicocle or piles.

    yes it is compulsory to attend the NER exam..
    Indian Army conducts an examination for recruiting candidates for various departments within the Army.
    The examination is named as Army Soldier General Duty (NER) examination.
    The examination is conducted four times in every year.
    Applicants who perform well in the admittance test and clear it with top marks shall be short listed.
    Following this, they will need to attend a training section.
    In general, it is those who wish to serve their motherland that join the Army.
    With further training in this field, they will get the necessary skills to achieve their goals.
