you have to score 40 per of markS in each section of the Q paper
u'll get sectional cut off by calculate the marks per question againest 40 per sectional cut off

ther is negetive marks in bank PO exam.i think 60% cut off is there

in sbi po exam questions asked from:

you have to score minimum of 40% in each subject to qualify in bank p.o exam witten test. It means you have to attemp atleast 20 questions in each subject. Their is negative marking system so be careful while answering questions.
Sbi associates paper was relatively easier so the cut off may go higher than last year but not so high because number of vacancies are more.so it may be around 90.

Dear Pawan Kaushik,

I would like to intimate that the cut-off marks are normally decides by the Bank Recruitment Board and normally variates for each
Recruitment Exam they conduct. So it will be highly difficult to guess until unless they declare officially.

As a normal/standard rule passing of the Recruitment would be fixed at 40% and according to the performance of the candidates
in the conducted exam vis-a-vis the availability of vacancies the cut-off percentage variates. OK. The bank will call for interviews
at the ratio of 1:3 candidates. So here the experience/qualifications/ Percentage of marks in the test/Interview, these four aspects
influence the selection of a candidate in to the service.

Hope you have understood the scenario.. so crossed fingers you will only have to wait for the result of the exam.

Cut Off Details for SBI Bank PO Exam
Last time when they recruited around 2500 POs the cutoff was around 92. This time they are recruiting around 4900 Officers. So the cutoff will be lower than 90 for sure. The 2010 exam was very easy compared to this year. And well it was ok, but not very easy.

Sbi has conducted two written exam recently for two different jobs notifications for po positions.
The over all cut we can guess will be like this:
. General class- 60%
. Obc class- 55%
. Sc class- 48%
. St class- 45%.
This is guess and original may be some different and will be opened after final result declaration.

~General English ~Computer Knowledge ~Reasoning questions ~Quantitative Aptitude ~General Awareness

~As you have asked about cutoff there is a sectional cutoff i.e 40% you have to secured in each section.

~At least 20-25 question in each section you should correct them

1/4 marks cut off
every subject want to get 35 marks out of 100 marks
1 st preference go to general english
if the english will pass marks then only total correction

hi friend,
there will be no specific cut off marks for that exam.cut off marks will be decided only based on written exam evaluation of all participating candidates.but it asks for 40% marks in every section atleast.but from my personal experience i ave written clerk of sbi in january where in one section cut off is just 25% that is it is decided baded on performance of all other candidates and i wrote exam for coeporation exam where in some sections cut off is more than 60%.so just try tp attempt as many as possible all the best.
