to the candidates those who were short listed......

in andhra pradesh postal assistant recruitment is also same like this. I too have applied for the job here in AP but the I didn't get the call letter, But My friends got it becz they have more % than me.

The vacancy for postal assistant has not been announced yet. The candidates who are waiting for the notification are advised to visit www.tamilnadupost.nic.in ragularly . The notification will be published on website when announced.

pay scale-rs 5200-20200+grade pay of rs 2400+admissible allowance.

AGE- 18-28 years

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION- INTERMEDIATE

you will get the information about the exam only when when you will get the call letter for the exam so if you are sortlisted to the exam than you will get the call letter soon.

Date of the Tamilnadu Postal Assistant Exam:

-> The govt. of the Tamil Nadu will send the call letter for written test in that only mention the date of exams and center .

-> This call letter is sent to the candidates those who were short listed......

-> If the candidates are not shortlisted they won't get any intimation letter.In AP postal assistant recruitment is also same like this.

-> And the selection Procedure will conduct written examfor eligible candidates. who passed the exam will be called for personal interview.

Postal assistant exam notification has been released in Tamilnadu, and last date was 11-1-2012 for receipt of Application



Eligibility Conditions (AS ON 11-1-2012)



Educational Qualifications


You have to pass in 10+2 Examination of recognized Board of School Education or, Board of Secondary Education



Age Limit

18 to 25 years for General category


Upper age limit for reserved category


SC/ST: 5 years

OBC: 3 years

PH: 10 years



Method of Selection will be based out of 100 marks that is divided into 3 parts


Duration of the Exam: 60 minutes



50% weight age of marks secured in aptitude test


40% weight age of percentage of marks secured in 10+2 or 12th Class


10 marks for computer test (including typing skill on computer)

Eligibility Criteria :

• Candidate Should be an Indian.
• Candidate should pass 10+2 from recognized board of university.
• He should know that Area Language.
• Candidate should have some knowledge on computer skills and The typing speed should be fast.
