KAS ( Karnataka public Service Examination ) :

• This KAS examination is for Karnataka Administrative service is conducted by KPSC.
• This KAS examination for KAS Group A application 2012 and KAS Group B 2012 posts and KAS officer .

KAS examination Prilims exam have 2 papers, Paper I and paper II, The questions will be on both Kanada and english . 20 Questions 400 marks. But each paper have 2 parts part I and Part II .

Part I cantains 40 marks from GK /Karnataka state current affairs carffaires can 80 marks in total. Part II contains 30 Questions from science and technology carries 30 marks 60 questions related to genaral mental Ability Carrying 60 marks totaling 120 marks. Paper -1 contains 100 questions that carry 200 marks.

Importent dates :

• Last date of appling : 12/12/2011
• KAS preliminary exam date : feb 2012
• Kas main exams date : june 2012

The KAS exam dates are announced...it will be held on 22/04/2012...and mains in july last week.....u people can go through the KPSC website....

About KAS exam :

The notification was released by the karnataka public service commission (KPSC) in the month of november for the recruitment of
352 Group A & B KAS officers (gazetted probationers) under karnataka administrative service/karnataka civil services. The examination
is conducted in three stages-

1. Preliminary examination
2. Main examination
3. Interview.

Generally the Preliminary examination is conducted in the month of february and the main examination is conducted in the month of june.
The candidates who qualified in the preliminary examination are allowed to appear in the main examination and so on. In other words, we
can say that the selection of the candidates is done mainly on the basis of preliminary examination. after completing the three stages by
the candidates a score card is issued on the basis of performance of the candidates in the all three stages. so the candidates must have
to qualify in each stage.

The candidate should have completed graduation from recognised university/colleges.

• KPSC has not yet released the notification for KAS Prelimns exam, it was stated that notification may release soon.
• As per the eligibility criteria, you need to have completed the graduation in any stream from an recognised university.
• Age limit stated for this exam is 21 years to 35 years.
• Age relaxations is given to reserved category students.
• As per the new changes, negative marking would be implemented in kas preliminary exam.
