Railway and Banks both ask for completion of degree before applying. You should be a passout to appear for Railways or in Banks Technical officer post.Being in Final year you can apply for PSUs as IOCL,NTPC,ONGC,BSNL,SAIL,GAIL etc etc.You can also appear for UPSC exams as IES or Civil services. You can go for SSC exam as well for Technical posts or even for Non technical posts. The subjects are the same as that you are strudying in your 4 year B.tech and questions will be from that only.Keep checking Employment News or freshersworld etc for getting more details about govt vacancies

For RAILWAYS first you need to know something about RRB which is the Railway Recruitment Board. It conducts examinations for various jobs which are available in railways. Not only engineers but these exams cover nearly all the posts of railways.
The competition for these jobs is not less but the paper that comes is not extremely diificult. SO if you prepare for it properly then i don't think there will be any problem. Each state has its own RRB and conducts exams for the particular state vacancies. Now there are two categories of exams held by RRB-

    1)Technical Exam-

    Eligibility-
    • 10+2 with maths and physics and an ITI degree in Computer Networking/ Data networking/ Electrician
    • age limit- 18-30 years
    2)Selection Procedure-
It includes written test followed by an interview

    3)Syllabus for written test-
    • General Awareness
    • Technical Ability
    • General Knowledge
    • Arithmetic
    • Reasoning Ability

    4)Boards which conduct RRB-

    ~Gorakhpur
    ~Chandigarh
    ~Ahemdabad
    ~Ranchi
    ~Chennai
    ~J & K
    ~Secunderabad
    ~Thiruvananthapuram
    ~Kolkata
    ~Mumbai
    ~Ajmer
    ~Patna
    ~Bilaspur
    ~Allahabad
    ~GuwahatiBhopal
    ~Bhuvneshwar

Now taking about the BANK jobs. For jobs in banks You just have to give the BANK exam and if you clears it then you can easily get a bank job. The eligibility criteria for the exams are-

    • 18-28 years (and relaxation would be given to SC,ST and OBC candidates) for bank Clerk exam .
    • 21-30 years (and relaxation would be given to SC,ST and OBC candidates) for bank PO exam.
Age relaxation which is provided to selected candidates is given below-
    1. For SC/ST Category candidate 5 year
    2. For OBC Category candidate 3 year
    3. For PWD Category candidate 10 year.

Hi friend...Being an engineering graduate, there are several oppertunities for you to get job in government sector and also in private sector...The minimum educational qualification required to apply for bank clerk/PO post is graduation in any discipline from recognised institution/university...Age limit to apply for bank clerk post is 18-28 years and for bank PO post is 21-30 years and the age relaxations are as per the government regulations...So,you are eligible to apply for both clerk and PO posts in banking industry...The selection process is written test(consisting of 5 sections) followed by the personal interview...For further details visit www.ibps.in and www.sbi.co.in...ALL THE BEST...

Re: Detailed information about Railway and bank jobs after completing B.Tech?

    Hello dude!

Almost all the exams are completely based on graduation only and without degree there are very less opportunities in both government sector as well as private sector. As you are in final year there are many opportunities and one of them is CAMPUS INTERVIEWS. If your college is best at providing proper placements then many companies whether software or core conduct recruitment process. The one who utilizes this chance properly they will have a job in your hands by the time they come out of the college. The Selection process consists of a written test, technical interview and HR interview. Other than this there are many exams which you can write and the details of the exams are mentioned below:

IBPS BANK EXAMS These are the exams conducted for the posts of clerks and p.o's in the 19 banks throughout India. After completion of engineering you can apply for both the posts. There will be a written test and an interview.
In addition to the clerical and probationary officer posts you can also apply for the IT and Technical officer posts. If you qualify the exam then you can attend interviews in any of the 20 public sector banks. For the probationary officer exam, you must have 60% of marks in Engineering.

    UPSC EXAMS
There are many exams conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. The exams are IAS,IPS,IFS,CBI etc.Only graduates are eligible for these exams and the exam pattern consists of a written test and an interview. Not only the above mentioned exams, there are many other exams conducted by the UPSC.

    GATE EXAM
This exam will provide you an opportunity to get a job in the public sector companies because many PSU's recruit candidates who have qualified the exam and completed b.tech.You can write the exam being in final year or you can apply for the exam after b.tech. If you qualify the exam in final year then that score is valid for 2 years.

    R.R.B EXAM
This exam is conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board for many posts under Group I,II,III,IV.There will be a written test and the selected candidates will undergo a training period.
In addition you can also apply for the ticket collector and loco pilot posts also.

    IES EXAM
It is the Indian Engineering Services exam where the qualified candidates will get a job in the public sector companies. You are not eligible for try he exam unless you complete final year.

These are some of the exams you are eligible to write. If you are preparing for the exams like Gate,IES then you must have good knowledge on the subjects of your department. If you are applying for the bank or Railway exams then you must have command on Aptitude, Reasoning and General Awareness. The above topics play a key role in the bank exams as well as railway exams.

HOPE THE INFORMATION HELPED YOU AND ALL THE BEST.[/B]
