You can get admission in government veterinary colleges in India by clearing the exams conducted by ICAR. IVRI( Indian veterinary research institute) conducts its separate exam. You can apply for these exams.

Salary: The pay scale of a veterinarian differs on the basis of his practice and the animals he treats. Fresh graduates in government veterinary hospitals and centers are appointed as junior veterinary surgeons. Their starting salary ranges from Rs.10,000 to Rs.15,000 per month. In the private sector, salaries start at Rs 20,000-25,000 per month, which will rise with experience, designation and performance. At a higher level, after about 10 years in the profession, you can earn Rs 1 lakh per month. The money is better in sales and marketing, but your performance speaks more than your knowledge does. As a manager, you can make as much as any other sales professional. In private practice, your income entirely depends upon your clientele.

    THANK YOU.
