    The APPSC announced the notification for GROUP 1 posts on monday .
    total number of posts: 263 posts.
    Preliminary examination date: May 27th 2012.
    Main examination : 3rd October 2012.
    From December 9th on wards the applications are available.
    last date to apply: 8th January 2012.
    Different type of posts are :
    Deputy collector
    Parliament officer
    Assistant director
    Municipal commissioner of labour
    Divisional fire officer
    Assistant treasury officer. etc

The posts such as assistant Engineer,Executive Engineer Deputy collector, Deputy superintendent of police and Assistant Engineer etc. are covered ny the group I exam, whereas the Group II exam covers the junior posts like junior Engineers etc. The required educational qualifications are any Degree from Universities of the Central or State Legislature in India or minimum Age Limit 21 years maximum Age Limit 35 years for SC, ST & OBC etc.More group cadres are like Regional Transport Officers, Assistant Prohabiton and Exercise Superintendents, Mandal Parishat Development Officers, District Registrar, District BC well fare Officers, District Trible Well fare Officers and District Social Well fare Officers etc.

    For group II exam the required educational qualification are Bachelors Degree and BGL Degree or a Bachelors Degree with first class.     Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission conducts Group - I and Group - II exams for various vacancies in A.P state government departments.

    The Eligibility details of the Group-I exam are as follows:
    • Candidates must have completed graduation from any recognized university.
    • Minimum 21 years of age.
    • The maximum age allowed is 34 years.
    • Age relaxation is provided for reserved categories.
