Eligibility criteria for Indian Railway exam for the post of T.T.E. is Pass 10th & 12th standard OR equivalent Examination from a recognized board.
Age Limit ...Minimum 16 Years and maximum 21 years.
The Railway Recriutment Boards of different Railway zones frequently take exams of TTE.
Traveling Ticket Examiner(TTE) post is the higher grade post available in the normal channel of Promotion after recruitment on the post of Ticket Collector/Ticket Examiner in the pay scale of Rs 5200-20200/- with grade pay of Rs 1900/- .

Educational Qualification:- Matriculation with minimum 50% marks or higher qualification.
Age Limit:- 18 to 30 Years with relaxation in upper age limit for candidates belonging to special category and applying for reserved posts.
Medical standards (B-2):- Candidate must be physically fit in all respect.
Visual Standards: Distance Vision:- 6/9 ,6/12 with or without glasses(Power not to exceed 4D).
Near Vision:0.6,0.6 with or without glasses when reading close work is required and must pass test for Field of Vision.
Stages of Examination:- Two stage written test followed by verification of documents.

Railway Recruitment Boards conducts a Civil Services examination for the recruitment of the non-technical categories in Grade C services, i.e.,T.T.E(TRAIN TICKET EXAMINER)
There are twenty RRB in India, which takes care of recruitment for 17 railway zones. Group-C railway recruitment is done at zonal level by RRBs.
The educational qualification should be Matric i.e., 10 pass with 50% .
But ,the condition of 50 % in aggregate in Matriculation is not applicable for candidates having qualification higher than matriculation and also to those candidates belonging to SC / ST / EX - Servicemen.
Pay Scale is --->
PB-2 (Rs.9300-34800); Grade Pay Rs.4600 and Rs.4200
PB-1 (Rs.5200-20200); Grade pay Rs.2800, Rs.2400, Rs.2000, Rs.1900 and Rs.1800.
The written test consists of
1. General English(and/or Hindi)
3. General Knowledge
4. General Intelligence
The test will be mainly of Objective Type. Candidates are expected to possess a broad knowledge of current events and matters of general interest particularly relating to India, including Indian Railways.
Depending upon the number of vacancies and merit list, candidates are called for interview. Final selection is based on the total marks obtained in the written examination and interview.
Questions on General English are designed to test the candidate's correct usage of prepositions, words and phrases.
Questions on Mathematics are designed to test accuracy and rapidity.
Candidates are expected to possess a broad knowledge of current events and matters of general interest, particularly relating to India, including Indian Railways.
The questions are designed to test the candidate's power of reasoning and his ability to draw conclusions.
The candidate selected may be absorbed depending on vacancies available after successful completion of prescribed training as per the rules.
The final appointment of the candidates will be subject to their being found medically fit in appropriate Medical Classification of Railways. They may be considered in due course for promotion to higher grades including supervisory levels according to rules/orders in force from time to time.
T.T.E stands for Travelling Ticket Examiner :
This is conducted by the railway requiting board every year once. For attending the TTE exam required educational qualifications are you must completed the 10+2 or equivalent with minimum 50% of marks and physics and maths or chemistry and maths as a compulsory subjects.
Also required minimum age limit should be 21 years and maximum age limit should be 25 years and age relaxation for reserved category candidates as per govt rules.
For these posts the selection procedure is based on the written test and interview, apart from first conducted the written test and after qualifying the written test called for interview.
Pass in intermediate class is the basic qualification required
for TTE job. The qualification must be obtained from any of the
recognized boards. The minimum age limit of the candidate must
be 16 years. Only those with in the age of 21 years are eligible to apply.
The candidate should pass a competitive examination in order to get in
to the job. The exam is carried out by RRB.
- For the post of Travelling ticket examiner in Indian railways, you must have to apply for the examination which is conducted by the railway recruitement board (RRB).
- You must have completed the class 10th with having minimum 50% marks from an recognised board.
- Or any other higher qualification would make you eligibile for this exam.
- The age of your's must have to be in between 18 years to 30 years.
- There is no specific date for the conduct of this examination, so you need to check out employement newspaper.

Also expected minimal age limit must be 21 decades and optimum age limit must be 25 decades and age pleasure for reserved category individuals as per govt rules.
