    hello

    the jobs for engineers in army, IAF & Navy is for technical section.
    You can work on officer level. For a front side job you have to give CDS EXAM.

    you should have 60% without backlogs.

    For engineering students to apply for ARMY OR AIRFORCE initially you need to fill the form for particular notification then either you need to clear the written test or gd then after clearing that you will be called for SSB of particular post in the allocated center by the organization .

    In SSB there is all kind of test initially GD,PHYSICAL TEST AND INTERVIEW If you clear all these test it will take approx 8 days.

    A job in any Defence Service are in two categories i.e. PC-Permanent Commission & SSC-Short Service Commission. For joining Indian Army in to any of
    the category there are again have Two Option types, one is through UPSC exam and the second one is Non-UPSC i.e. the exam directly conducted by
    Additional Directorate General Branch (Recruitments). Similarly for Indian Air Force also UPSC conducts examination for NDA / CDS entry categories and
    for AFCAT it is through Command HQs controlled by Air Headquarters, New Delhi.

    You must remember that, to apply for these posts you have to be unmarried and medically fit in all respects.

    AIR FORCE JOBS FOR ENGINEERING GRADUATES

    An Engineering Graduate can apply for AFCAT-Air Force Common Admission Test. A single AFCAT application is enough for applying
    to all branches of Indian Air Force. There is a separate application format for Men and Women Candidates, that you have to check.

    Details of Branches for Engineering Graduates are:-

    Flying Branch (FP):- Fighter, Transport and Helicopter Pilots

    Technical Branch:-
    Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) i.e. [AE(L)]
    Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) i.e. [AE(M)]

    Ground Duty Branches (GD):- Administration & Logistics (Adm/Lgs)

    BRANCHES APPLICABLE FOR ENGINEERS FOR INDIAN AIR FORCE:

    #Technical Branches : Engineering (4Yrs) (60%)
    #Adm/Lgs (in GD Branch) : Any Graduation with 60%

    Imp. Note: Shown in the brackets is the exact acronym of branch, what denoted as in IAF. If suppose you have scored well in all
    exams as well as in the SSB Final Interview, then you can also opt to take Adm/Lgs branch as Ground Duty Officer with the credits you have scored.
    So I have given you the details of GD Branch also in case for your reference as you are eligible too.

    AGE CRITERIA FOR EACH CATEGORY OF BRANCH:

    Age for Flying Branch - 19 to 23 Yrs
    Age for Technical branch: 18-28 Yrs
    Age for Ground Duty Officers: 20 to 23 Yrs (for Graduates)**

    The options & Opportunities for Engineers
    Scheme
    There are two kinds of services in Defence.
    1. Short Service Commission ( 5 to 7 yrs )
    2. Permanent Commission
    In some of the wings, provision exists for the extension of the duration of short Service Commission or conversion into Permanent Commission at an appropriate stage, subject to satisfactory performance of the duties.
    Recently all the three wings have started recruiting female candidates also.
    Entry points for the Engineers in Defence Services
    Candidates possessing Engineering Degree or equivalent Degree from recognized University in the following disciplines are eligible for commission in the Corps of Engineers, Signals and EME

    you can go direct in the army/ air force through SSB.
    Service Selection Board – SSB Interview Procedure

    5 Day Programs :
    The Candidates are called through “Call Letters” to appear in 5 days Tests at SSB (Allahabad/Bhopal/Bangalore/Mysore/Varanasi/Dehradun).
    4 Categories of Tests :
    1. Screening Test
    2. Psychological Test
    3. Group Testing Officers (GTO) Test
    4. Interview
    Screening Test (First Day)
    After the individual has filled in certain Forms and also the Bio Data forms known as “Personal Information Questionnaire” (PIQ), the candidates will undergo two types of tests as under.
    1. Verbal and Non-Verbal Tests.
    2. Picture Story Writing followed by Discussion of the Stories.
    Note :
    Once the Screening Test is over, the results are declared within 1 hour of the completion of the test. Those who clear the test are required to stay back for the next 4 days and the remaining persons are dropped back at the Railway Station for their return journey.
    Psychological Test (Second day)
    These tests are in four parts as under :
    • Thematic Apperception Test (TAT) – Commonly known as Picture Story writing.
    • Word Association Test (WAT)
    • Situation Reaction Test (SRT)
    • Self Description Test (SD)
    Group Testing Officers (GTO) Test (Third and Fourth day)
    The following tests are conducted in this caregory :
    • Group discussion
    • Group Planning Exercise (sometimes known as Military Planning Exercise)
    • Progressive Group Tasks
    • Half Group Tasks
    • Individual Obstacles
    • Group Obstacles Race
    • Command Task
    • Lecturette
    • Final Group Task
    Interview : (Held during afternoon/evening hours on 2nd/3rd/4th day)
    Note : Brief details of these tests will be covered subsequently.
    Board Meeting (Fifth day)
    The candidates are required to appear before the complete Board of Examiners comprising of President, Dy President, all the psychologists, all the GTO’s and Technical Officer. After the Board Meeting is over, the final result is declared within ½ an hour.
    Selected candidates are required to stay back for their medical examination (takes about 3 to 5 days) in the Military Hospital near by or at a different place and the remaining candidates are dropped at the Railway Station for their return journey.
    AFTER CLEAR THESE FIVE ROUND YOU CAN JOIN THE ARMY OR AIR FORCE

    In Army the recruitment of Engineers is done through Technical Grade Course exam which is conducted by Army. The age of the candidates should be 20-27 years.
    In Air Force the recruitment of Engineers is done through AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Test) through Cammand Head Qrs. which is controlled by the Air Head Qrs.
