    Details regarding CTET exam? Is it compulsory for teachers to give CTET exam for private schools?

    Hello,
    iam ateacher teaching in aprivate schoolfor 10years. is it compulsory for teachers like me to again give ctet and tet if i apply in aprivate school.

    CTET stands for Central Teacher Eligibility Test. Those who pass this examination can seek teaching jobs in any of the government or private schools. These exam is conducted Once every year.

    For 1st to 5th :-You need to have passed the senior secondary with at least 50% marks .You can also apply if your in the final year of Diploma course.

    For 6th to 8th
    :-You need to have completed graduation in any streams with at least 50% marks.

    There is no age limit for this exam


    Exam Pattern :
    The exam consists of 2 papers.First paper for class 1st to 5th and second for class 6th to 8th.
    The exam is of 150 marks.

    If you are interested in teaching for both the batches then you need to appear for both the exams.

    CTET i.e Central Teacher Eligibility Test :

    If you want join in private schools for teacher post this is not required ,but if once you are qualifying this test you have many opportunities like good salary and job in govt schools.

    So you must write the this test and this is conducted by the central board of secondary education i.e CBSE and this is inviting the application forms for teacher post in various schools.

    Required Requirements:

    Generally for this exam required educational qualifications are you must completed the 10+2/ diploma in elementary education and also completed the graduation / B.ED are eligible for CTET.

    For this test you can appear for teaching two groups like;.Class-I to Class-V & Class VI to Class-VIII,so you can follow bellow;..

    Minimum Qualifications for teaching Classes I-V:
    • 10+2 with 50% marks and 2–year diploma elementary education OR

    • 10+2 with 45% marks and 2–year diploma elementary education with the NCTE OR

    • 10+2 with 50% marks and 4–year bachelor of elementary education OR

    • Graduation and 2-year diploma in elementary education

    Minimum Qualifications for teaching Classes VI-VIII:
    • B.A. /B.Sc and 2–year diploma in elementary education OR

    • B.A. /B.Sc. with 50% marks and 1–year bachelor in education OR

    • B.A. /B.Sc. with 45% marks and 1–year bachelor in education with the NCTE OR

    • 10+2 with 50% marks and 4–year bachelor in elementary education OR

    Here relaxation is available by 5% qualifying marks at BA/B.Sc./10+2 level for SC/ST candidates and for this exam the selection processor is based on the written test conducted by the CBSC and marks squired in written test.

    And application form can be download through http://www.ctet.nic.in by paying the 500 fee for general candidates (SC/ST/PWD candidates have to pay 250).

    i am 10 2 in PCM, Bsc in physics, M.sc in physics, and B.ed.....i had also qualified CTET.....but still i didn't find any job.

    Ctet is Ist paper 75 marks and 2nd paper 88 marks my category is SC pl askme in qualified CTET exam.

    this is not compulsary for join private school its requirment depend on school but you pass ctet exam this is plus point for your incriment and govt job thank u

    IF you want remain in private school then this test is not compulsary at all but to join govt sector, this test is compulsary

    YES,IT IS COMPULSORY FOR TEACHERS TO GIVE CTET EXAM FOR PRIVATE SCHOOL.

    ELIGIBILITY=

    -YOU SHOULD BE COMPLETE YOUR 12TH OR EQUIVALENT FROM A RECOGNIZED UNIVERSITY.

    THERE ARE TWO GROUPS=

    1- CLASS -I TO CLASS V=

    CTET :Central Teacher Eligibility Test this is conducted by the central Board of secondary education and this exam is conducted for the who are interested to do teacher job in the govt colleges and schools.
    Educational qualifications:

    For I-V:

    -- > For this exam the qualifications for primary stage you should complete the 10+2 with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year diploma in elementary education OR

    -- >10+2 with minimum 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year diploma in elementary education with the NCTE OR

    -- > 10+2 with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year bachelor of elementary education OR

    -- > Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year diploma in elementary education.

    For V-X:

    -- > For this exam the qualifications for elementary stage you should complete the Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year diploma in elementary education.OR

    -- >Graduation with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. OR

    -- > Graduation with minimum 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed with the NCTE OR

    is there any other exam other then CTET for teaching Class IX X XI XII...wanted to know bcoz ctet is just for primary and upper primary ?kindly can you plz tell me whats the pay scale of a ctet qualified teacher ?
