    Eligibility for clerical job in Banking sector? Am i eligible for it as having graduate with 59% and PG with 54% but without 12th?

    I am a graduate with 59% marks and a post graduate with 54% marks but with out eigther 10+2 or intermediate qualification. My question is am I eligible to apply for clerk post in the banking sector.

    Eligibility criteria
    Please note that the eligibility criteria specified is the basic criteria for applying to various Public Sector Banks. However, merely applying for CWE or appearing for the examination does not imply that a candidate will necessarily be eligible for employment in all or any of the 19 Public Sector Banks as each Bank will stipulate its own eligibility/qualifying criteria.

    Nationality
    A candidate must be either:
    - A Citizen of India, or
    - a subject of Nepal, or
    - A subject of Bhutan, or
    - A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
    - A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

    Age:
    Minimum 18 Years; Maximum 28 Years
    The maximum age limit specified is applicable to General Category candidates.
    Relaxation of upper age limit
    - Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe: 5 years
    - Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
    - Persons With Disabilities: 10 years
    - Ex-Servicemen / Disabled Ex-Servicemen: actual period of service rendered in the defence forces + 3 years (8 years for Disabled Ex-Servicemen belonging to SC/ST)
    - Widows, Divorced women and women legally separated from their husbands who have not remarried: 9 years
    - Persons ordinarily domiciled in the Kashmir Division of the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989: 5 years
    - Persons affected by 1984 riots: 5 years
    - Regular employees of the Union Carbide Factory, Bhopal retrenched from service (Applicable to Madhya Pradesh state only): 5 years

    Educational qualification
    A pass with 60% marks in the aggregate in Matriculation/SSC (old pattern)/SSLC/10th std. Examination of 10+2+3 pattern or equivalent. For SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EXSM candidates a pass in the aggregate in Matriculation/SSC (old pattern)/SSLC/10th std. Examination of 10+2+3 pattern or equivalent
    OR
    A pass with 50% marks in HSC examination of 10+2 (10+2+3 pattern) / 11th Std. of (11+1+3) pattern or Intermediate/Pre-University or any equivalent examination / Diploma in Banking recognized by Central / State Government or U.T. administration. For SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EXSM candidates a pass in HSC examination of 10+2 (10+2+3 pattern) / 11th Std. of (11+1+3) pattern or Intermediate/Pre-University or any equivalent examination / Diploma in Banking recognized by Central / State Government or U.T. administration
    OR
    Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.


    Examination pattern
    1 Reasoning: 50 questions of 50 marks
    2 English Language: 50 questions of 50 marks
    3 Numerical Ability: 50 questions of 50 marks
    4 General Awareness (with special reference to Banking Industry): 50 questions of 50 marks
    5 Computer Knowledge: 50 questions of 50 marks


    Total marks: 250, Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes
    - The Test paper will be objective, multiple-type questions.
    - All tests other than the Test of English Language and Descriptive Paper on English Composition are printed in both English and Hindi.
    - The Descriptive Papers of only those candidates who secure minimum qualifying marks in each of the objective tests are evaluated.
    - There is a penalty for wrong answers in multiple choice questions. One-fourth marks of a question are deducted in case of a wrong answer. Marking more than one answer is considered a wrong answer. There is no penalty for not answering a question.

    Dear Friend, Qualification will be different for applying for Clerk and PO posts in banks. For bank clerical exam you should have completed your 12th class with minimum 55% marks from recognized university and your age should be between 18 to 28 years(age relaxation for obc category is 3 years and 5 years for SC/ST category.​​If you fulfill these criteria then you can apply for bank clerk exam.


    Eligibility for SBI Clerk:- To apply for SBI Clerk post you must be 12th pass with 60% of marks if you belong to general category. For SC/ST category 55% marks in 12th or Any degree with pass marks from any recognized university. You age for SBI Clerk should be between 18 years to 28 year for general candidates.5 years relaxation in upper age for SC/ST Candidates.
    3 years relaxation for OBC Candidates.


    To become Probationary Officers you need to crack the Banks Recruitment examination. To apply for Bank PO Examinations, you have to complete your Graduate degree course in any discipline from a recognized University, Final year appearing candidates are also apply for few Banks PO Examinations, the eligibility Criteria are Properly mentioned in the Notifications. If you have completed your Graduation then you are eligible for Bank PO Examinations.

    Bank Clerk Eligibility :

    Candidates must be complete 12th stands with min of 60% marks from a recognized University (OR) complete a degree from a recognized University

    Age limit :

    Min of age limit 18 years & Max of age limit 30 years for General Candidates
    3 years age relaxation for OBC Candidates
    5 years age relaxation for SC/ST Candidates

    Selection Process :

    Interview

    Written Test Pattern :

    English Language
    Quantitative Aptitude
    General Awareness
    Computer Knowledge

    Hello dude!

    Clerical posts are conducted in the banks and you can apply for both the public sector as well as the private banks.But it is advisable to write the clerk exam conducted by the Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection.The Eligibility details of the CLERK exam is as follow:

    • Candidates must have completed 10th or 12th standard with atleast 55% of marks.
    • Minimum 18 years of age.
    • The maximum age allowed is 28 years.
    • Age relaxation is provided for reserved categories.
    • 5 years for SC/ST Candidates.
    • 3 years for OBC candidates.
    • 10 years for physically handicapped candidates.

    The above mentioned are the details of the clerk exam.

    Coming to the exam pattern,the exam is for 250 marks and is divided into 5 sections.Each section consists of 50 questions a for every correct answer you will be awarded 1 mark and for every wrong answer 1/4 mark will be deducted.The five sections are:
    MATHEMATICS
    ENGLISH
    COMPUTER BASICS APTITUDE
    GENERAL KNOWLEDGE.

    Hi,
    If you wise to be on clerical post in bank with your educational qualification then you can go for it

    Matriculate also can apply for clerical post., needs minimum 60% marks.

    10+2 candidate can apply with min. 50% marks.

    As you are graduate so you are definately elligible for clerical post.

    Some multinational financial institution demands first class graduate for post of clerk cum typist.

    If you want Clerk job in Bank then you should be follow below eligibility criteria , today's every one want job in bank sector . you can get job easily if you fulfill the job requirement .

    1. Complete Graduation from recognized University

    2. Candidate should be minimum 55% marks in graduation

    3.Age limit 21-30 yrs

    4. Nationality Indian

    5. Written exam

    ->Quantitative aptitude
    ->Reasoning ability
    ->English language
    ->General awareness with special reference to banking industry
    ->Computer knowledge

    Officer Scale-I --- Degree in any
