    si eligiblity is any qualification of degree, first of all you applied to that post and first you will passed the physical test and runnning test and athelitics tests after that the department announces the qualified candiates for written test, the written test was very distance to write them, so you have more time to prepare to written test, in written test has appitude,generalknowledge, enlish, reasioning etc... my best suggestion to prepare for written test follow r.s agrawall .

    u should have a degree wit minimum 60% for applying in SI.
    for this U should have strong aptitude, reasoning,general knowledge,english of couse.
    u will need to pass physical test,running test, athletics test .

    DEAR FRIEND

    eligibility criteria for the post of SI-

    1-education--------you should be graduate in any discipline
    2-age--------------your age should be between 20 to 25 years
    also some physical standard are required for this post.
    as height------------------more than 168 cm
    chest---------------------84 cm with expansion of 5 cm.

    you can prepare for this exam by following this-

    see the previuos years papers of this exam and see the topics from which the question are regularly coming in more marks.
    so write in details about these topics from NET or from books or by the help of others.
    and start revise these topics after each 5 days. and solve more question on these topics.
    books---you can refer any books but if you follow the above thing than there is no need of any books.

    The following are the eligibility criteria for applying for the post of SI:
    * Graduation in any discipline with 60% marks from any recognized university/college.
    * Age limit is 20-25 yrs.
    * % n age limit will vary in case of reserved candidates.

    You will have a written test, physical test n then a personal interview.

    Si or sub inspector in police and defence departments is a second grad post. It is considered a reputed post. The SSC, upsc, and state government departments conduct the exam or recruitment process for the si post. The educational qualification required for this post is
    A graduation degree in any stream from any government recognized university.
    The age of the candidate should between 21 to 25 years.
    The selection process consists of three stages:
    1. Written exam
    2. Physical efficiency test and
    3. Personal interview.
    The patern of the above mentioned stages vary from department to departments.

    The eligibility criteria for the post of a Sub Inspector is minimum graduation in any discipline from any recognized University.The age should be between 20 to 25 years and the height of the candidate should be minimum 168 cm & unexpanded chest should be 84 cm and the expanded chest should be 90cm.

    The mode of section is mostly written exam first then physical/ medical test, followed by the interview.

    The Book of Garg Publication and the previous exams papers may be consulted and the practice for physical efficiency test be done regularly.

    ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS:


    NATIONALITY:


    Applicant should be a bonafide citizen of INDIA.



    EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:



    The minimum educational qualification required is a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university.



    AGE:


    20 to 25 years as on 01.01.2009, i.e. those born not earlier than 02.01.1984 and not later than 01.01.1989 will be eligible.



    The upper age limit as prescribed above will be relaxable only in the following cases:-



    Upto a maximum of 05 years, if a candidate belongs to a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe category



    Upto a maximum of 3 years, if a candidate belongs to an OBC category.


    This relaxation is admissible for those castes notified in the Central List and the List issued by the Govt. of NCT of Delhi. No other certificate will be accepted as sufficient proof.


    Age concession to Ex-Servicemen will be allowed in accordance with the orders issued by the government from time to time.



    They will be permitted to deduct the period served in the armed forces from their actual age and the resultant age, so derived, should not exceed the prescribed age limit by more than three years.



    It is further clarified that an “Ex-Serviceman” means a person, who has served in any rank whether as a combatant or non-combatant in Army, Navy or Air Force of the Indian Union and who retired from such service after earning his pension.



    Relaxation in the upper age limit is admissible upto 40 years (43 years for OBC, 45 years for SCs/STs) for departmental candidates of Delhi Police.
    A “departmental candidate” means a Constable, Head Constable or a Asstt.



    Sub-Inspector enlisted in Delhi Police with a minimum of 5 years service and who otherwise fulfills all other qualifications.



    Upto a maximum of 5 years for sportsmen of distinction who have represented a state at the national level and the country at the international level in sports.






    If a candidate belongs to SC/ST category and fulfills the above criteria, he is eligible for 5 years relaxation in upper age limit over and above the relaxation prescribed at Clause 3(c)(i). In effect, he qualifies for relaxation in the upper age limit to a maximum of 10 years.



    Physical:



    Male: Height: 168 cms. Chest: 81-86 cms.



    Female: Height: I 52 Cms. Weight: 47.5 Kg.

    Eligibility Criteria :

    For Indian Police Service ,you must be citizen of India.

    Age limits :

    You must have attained the age of 21 Yrs and must not Attained the age of 30 Yrs on 1st August,2012.

    The Upper age limit will be Applicable for SC/ST and OBC candidates.

    Upto a maximum Five Years for Scheduled caste and Scheduled tribes.

    Upto a Maximum three years for Other Backward Classes.


    Education Qualification :

    You must hold a Bachelor's degree of any Recognized University.

    If you are in the final year of a degree course can also Eligible.

    Number of Attempts :

    Four Attempts for Open.

    Seven Attempts for OBC category.

    Physical Fitness Is very Important for IPS Exam.

    This is the Eligibility criteria for Sub Inspector is mention below:

    Candidate should be a bonafide citizen of India.

    HEIGHT is required Minimum 170 Cms.
    CHEST is Minimum 81 to 85 cms (with minimum expansion of 4 cms).

    Medical standard is that the candidates should be of sound state of health, free from defect, deformity or disease. Both eyes should have a vision 6/12 (without glasses). No relaxation is allowed to any category of candidates on this count.

    Physical Endurance test in that Candidates have to complete 1600 mtrs. Race in 6 minutes to qualify. Those who qualify in the race will further appear in the next tests

    A person who had completed has degree with atleast 60% of the marks can apply for S.I post.
    SELECTION :
    selection is based on running test, physical test, written test and interview.
    AGE LIMIT :
    21-30 years for OC/BC
    35 years for SC/ST
    33 years for OBC

    To be eligible for SI post you should be graduate from a recognized University or equivalent

    Your age must be between 20 to 25 years.

    Nationality/Citizenship -
    a) a citizen of India, or
    b) a subject of Nepal, or
    c) a subject of Bhutan, or
    d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or

    Physical Standard -

    Male: Height – 170cm/Chest Unexpanded – 80cm/Chest Expanded – 85cm

    Female: Height – 157

    Eye Sight – The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of two eyes without correction.

    Weight: Corresponding to height for post.

    You must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and they should possess high color vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
