    Entrance exams, procedure and eligibility criteria for IAS exam?

    Actually, i am pursuing my btech 4th year from computer science background,i have a diloma about what to do, i wants to settle in central government job, i wants to know about entrance exams and procedure, eligibility criteria for IAS.please provide me the complete details as soon as possible.

    Hello dude!

    Indian Administrative Service examination is the exam conducted by the Union Public Service Comission for recruitment to 25 services in the country. The exam will be included in two phases which includes in two stages. They are Prelims and Mains. This is the first time UPSC is conducting common prelims exam for IAS and IFS examination.The minimum educational qualification required is graduation. So you are eligible for the exam only after graduation.The eligibility details for the exam is mentioned below:
    • Candidate must be citizen of India.
    • Must have completed graduation from any recognized university.
    • Minimum age allowed is 21 years and applicable for all categories.
    • The maximum age is 30 years.
    • The candidates belonging to SC/ST category will get 5 years upper age relaxable.
    • The candidates belonging to OBC category will get 3 years upper age relaxable.
    • The candidates belonging to Physically handicapped category will get 10 years upper age relaxable.
    • The candidates belonging to Ex-service men category will get 5 years upper age relaxable.
    Coming to the syllabus of the exam, the examination shall compromise of two papers, each of 200 marks.

    PAPER -1 consists of 200 marks: The syllabus is described below:
    Current events of national and international importance, History of India and Indian National Movement, Indian and world geography - physical, Social, Economic geography of India, Indian Politics and Governance, General issues on Environmental Ecology, Bio-Diversity and Climate change.

    PAPER-2 consists of 200 marks:
    Comprehension and Inter personal skills, Logical reasoning and thinking ability, Decision making and Problem solving techniques, Basic numeracy, Data interpretation and English language Communication skills.

    Coming to the number of attempts, they vary for various categories:
    * For General category : 4 attempts.
    * For OBC and physically handicapped category : 7 attempts.
    * For SC/ST category : No limit.

    The IAS exam precess is:
    The IAS written Exam will be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC),
    This Mainly consist of three rounds First Preliminary Exam and Main's Exam and then Final Round is Interview Based on your marks and performance you will be placed for the IAS Officer,

    The Eligibility Criteria is:
    Must be an Indian,
    Any degree From Recognized University,
    The age Limit for IAS is 21 years to 30 years,
    The SC/ST candidates have 5 year upper age limits, OBC candidates have 3 years Upper limits and Physical Handicapped 10 years upper age limits,
    The Exam attempts for general is 4 times, For OBC 7 times, SC/ST no limit.

    The syllabus of the IAS exam is:
    Paper A consist of 200 marks in
    Current Affairs,
    Indian History,
    Indian Geography,
    Indian Politics and
    Bio-Diversity etc...

    Paper B consist of 200 marks in
    Personal Skills,
    Reasoning,
    Problem Solving and
    General English etc...

    1. you should be passed the bachelor degree from any recognized university
    2. age must be between the 21 to 30 years

    Dear Friend,Indian civil service examination is one of the toughest competitive exams among all other competitive exams of the country. Some of the basic requirements for appearing Indian Civil Services Exams are a degree of any university; candidates who have appeared in the final exams can also appear in the preliminary Exams, but for the main exam the results of previous qualifying examination is essential.Procedure for appearing the IAS exam:Age limits: 21-30 yrs as on 1.7.2013 (upper age lmt relaxable for SC,OBC)Education:Bachelor degree of a recognized university atleast one of the subject namely animal husbandary, chemistry, geology, physics math, statistics...Fee structure: 100 (no fee for SC, ST)..Gud luck...

    It is good to hear that you have passion towards ias... good and keep it up.

    There are some criteria which you have to satisfy for applying the exam:

    YOU MUST BE THE CITIZEN OF INDIA

    YOU MUST HAVE A MINIMUM AGE OF ABOUT 21YRS

    YOU MUST HAVE A DEGREE COMPLETED FROM ANY RECOGNIZED UNIVERSITY WITH MINIMUM PASS PERCENTAGE

    Once you satisfy all the criterias you can apply for the ias exam which will be conducted yearly.

    According to the score you get, you will be allotted the post in the central government.

    There is also age relaxation for different category candidates.

    For obc---3yrs
    For sc/st---5yrs

    There are 2 papers in ias exam and each consists of 200marks

    There is also limitation for the number of attempts which a person can opt.

    For general category---3
    For obc category---7
    For sc/st category---no limit

    Hi Friend....

    The IAS Indian Administrative Services examination will be held by the central government of India and this IAS comes under the civil services recruitments and these civil services are conducted once per year and you can appear for these central civil services once in every year....

    The entrance examination for these civil services is CSAT and after qualifying this entrance test you will be called for the next rounds of interview process such as the
    Written test
    Interview
    These are the other two test and this written is also known as the main which is of theory test and you need to select two subject or optional subjects available...

    The minimum eligibility criteria which are required for appearing to Civil services examination are...
    >>Should have attained the age of 21 -30 years
    >>Should have completed the graduation or bachelors degree in any of the stream of study
    >>Should belong to the citizen of India only
    These are the minimum eligibility criteria which are required for appearing to the civil services examinations..

    The candidates after satisfying these eligibility can appear for the civil services IAS selections...

    • IAS is Indian administrative services, for which you are required to apply for the civil services examination.
    • It is conducted by UPSC which will in three stages that are preliminary exam, main exam and at last it's interview.
    • You need to have completed the graduation in any of the stream which should be from recognised university.
    • The age of the students who want to apply for it should be in between 21 years to 30 years.
    • Upper age relaxations will be provided to you if you are from the reserved category.

    Hi friend...IAS(Indian Administrative Service) exam is conducted by UPSC once in every year and the exam is conducted in three stages (1)preliminary exam (2)mains examination (3)personal interview...The minimum educational qualification required to apply for IAS examination is graduation in any discipline from recognised institution/university...Age limit to apply for IAS exam is 21-30 years and the age relaxations are as follows ->3 years age relaxation for OBC candidates ->5 years age relaxation for SC/ST candidates ->10 years age relaxation for PH candidates...So,you can apply for IAS examination after the completion of your B.TECH course...ALL THE BEST...

    The acronym for IAS is Indian Administrative Services.


    IAS examination is a civil services examination, which is conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) every year.


    The eligibility criteria required for the IAS examination are prescribed as below:-

    * Completion of graduation in any stream from any recognized college or university.

    * Percentage criteria is not required.

    * Final year contenders are also eligible.

    * Age limit:- 21-30 yrs.

    * Age relaxation:- 3 yrs for OBC, 5 yrs for SC/ST and 10 yrs for PWD contenders.

    * No. of attempts:- 4 for General, 7 for OBC and no limits for SC/ST contenders.

    * Nationality:- Indian.


    The selection procedure required for the IAS examination is mentioned as below:-

    * Preliminary examination.
