Re: Expected salary for M.Sc in Organic Chemistry in government job?

The salary of a MSc(in organic chemistry) passed out depends on various factors-

1.The institutes from where one has passed out.
2.The profile of the student in his entire course.
3.The company in which he/she has been recruited.
    4.The personality of the student.

Usually MSc candidates are paid well in private sector.Their salary ranges from 4 lakhs to crores per annum. The candidates who are extremely good and practical and who are recruited in companies like Reliance ,TATA,Jindal are paid more than 5 lakhs per annum. However, the average salary ranges between 3-4 lakhs. If one has passed out from top IITs like IIT Mumbai,Kanpur,Delhi,Kharagpur,he/she is given special preference.
In public sector, the salaries for all freshers are same.It ranges from 16000-39000 per month along with many other facilities. The basic pay is around 25000.
So,the salary depends on the caliber of the student to a great extent.
However,as one gets more and more experienced ,one can get promotion or opt for better jobs with higher salaries.
Your technical skills and academic records will be an important decision making factor.Having good communication skills will help in the interview round and in deciding the salary.

    Hi Guest,

The expected salary for any candidate depends upon many factors and few of them are as follows:

The company which is recruiting the candidate

    The profile of the student

If you have good work experience then there are good chances of having good salary

The institute from where you are passed out.

Other than these there are many factors and if you are having all the skills very good then you are offered a nice salary.

    Thank you,

    All the best.
