Yes, you can fulfill your aim of getting in to a job in public sector. With a 12th class qualification you can only apply for junior posts in prominent departments in government sector. Hence, to pursue ECE is a good decision as it will increase your job avenues. Regarding jobs after 12th class, you can apply for jobs in banks for clerical cadres. You can also try for jobs in Railways, Income tax department, CPO, Defense services etc. But you need to qualify written exam conducted for selecting candidates for jobs. You can check for jobs notifications in official sites of concerned sector, government job portals etc.

    Hello dude!

It is really a very good idea to choose E.C.E as your B.Tech stream because there are many advantages for students coming from Electronics and Communication Department when compared with other students of Different Branches like C.S.E,MECHANICAL and CIVIL.

The reason is the students of E.C.E can choose to go to either Electronics side or they can either choose Software side but the students of Mechanical or E.E.E are not preferred for software side and the students of C.S.E or I.T are not preferred for electronics side. These are the advantages for the students from E.C.E department and surely it will be very beneficial if you study well and have a good percentage by the time you come out of the college.

It is not just choosing E.C.E will not beneficial for you,you must put your 100% efforts and concentrate on the core subjects from the starting days itself.Don't prefer to study at the end of the exams because that will just gain you marks but the knowledge you gain will be ZERO(0).So just concentrate on the core subjects from the First year itself because that will be very useful when you write the GATE EXAM and other exams.

Students who wish to appear the GATE EXAM or BSNL EXAM or ISRO EXAM or any other exams related to the Government companies must have a good knowledge on the core subjects because the exams are completely based on the subjects that we learn in B.Tech.

Also try to solve questions related to Aptitude and Reasoning that will help you during Campus Interviews.

HOPE THE INFORMATION HELPED YOU AND ALL THE BEST.
