Re: How to apply for government job being an Electrical engineering student?

Being an electrical engineer , you can apply for many government sector jobs.
You can apply for the post of an electrical engineer or power engineer in any of the following government company-
    Hindustan Steelworks Construction Ltd.
    Ferro Scrap Nigam Ltd.
    Bharat Refractories Ltd.
    NMDC Ltd.
    J & K Mineral(STEEL) Development Corpn. Ltd
    KIOCL Ltd.
    Maharashtra Elektrosmelt Ltd.
    Manganese Ore (India) Ltd.
    MECON Limited
    Sponge Iron India Ltd.
    Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd.
    Steel Authority Of India Ltd.

now to your second part of the question- "B.E with 60%" means that you need to have minimum 60% aggregate throughout your B.E course i.e starting from the first semester to the last semester , you should have minimum 60% average percentage.

    GOOD LUCK

Re: How to apply for government job being an Electrical engineering student?

    Hello Sandeep,

There are many PSU and governemnt sector companies, which offer job to electrical engineers:
    SAIL, BHEL, NTPC,DRDO.
You can also prepare for IES(India Engineering Services) through which you'll get the job under central governemnt and it is the
    most reputed job for engineers.
Work hard and try get 60% aggrgate in B.Tech because maximum companies put the criteria of 60% and competition is getting
    really tougher day by day.

B.E with 60% percentage means simple average of marx in all semesters. Suppose you have exam of 1000 marx in each sem, then maximum marks
in 8 semester will be 8000. And you need to have atleast 4800 marks(60%) if you add marks of all the semesters.
Please let me know incase you need more help.
