    How to become a civil judge in high court? What level of experience is needed?

    What are the qualifications needed to become a Civil Judge in a high court? Can I become a Civil Judge in the Gujarat High court if I am a practicing advocate in a civil court?

    The basic qualification required to become a Civil Judge in a high court is the degree in Law from any recognized university or college. Since you are practicing as an advocate in a civil court certainly you are eligible to apply for the post of a Civil Judge.

    Regarding the vacant position of Civil Judges in Gujarat High court, the following criteria’s are significant-

    The candidate should have a Law degree from any recognized university or college. The candidate should also be practicing in a high court or civil court in India.
    OR
    The candidate should have worked in any courts or any other allied departments for at least 5 years along with a graduation in Law from a university recognized by the government of India.

    The age limit for this post is 35 years being the maximum. The will relaxations in case of age for scheduled caste and scheduled tribes. Candidates can apply online after depositing the required amount of fees. The candidates have to attend the written test which will be multiple choice questions. The candidates will be eligible for Interview only when they have satisfactorily performed in the test which is conducted. The final selection will be based on the interview results.

    you must possess the degree of BACHELOR OF LAWS from a recognised university. It is a state level exam, conducted by state public service commissions. Minimum age requires is 21.

    to become a judge a person has to get experience of 7 years as advocate.

    DIFFERENT CRITERIA for judge selection:

    For example-

    For becoming a supreme court jude,the candidate must be a llb with first class,after that he must work as a lawer in supreme court for atleast 10 years or being a high court judge,then he have to pass an entrance and all.

    For becoming a high court judge,the candidate must have minimum 3 years of experience as a lawer after llb,then he have to pass an entrance for it with good score after that he will be appointed as a high court judge.

    For becoming jude of other courts of state and distric level he have pass entrance of state public service commission.

    generally to become a civil judge in high court a degree in law is required.To become a civil judge there are two stages in the selection process for the specified posts in High Court of Andhra Pradesh:

    i. A competitive written examination and
    ii. A personal interview test with selection committee.

    GENERAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATION FOR A CIVIL JUDGE IN HIGH COURT:

    1.you must be passed in law degree that is recognized by law in INDIA.

    2.you must be practicing as an advocate in courts of criminal/civil jurisdiction (or)

    3.you must have a degree in law and must be working in courts or other related departments for at least 5 years.

    age should not be more than 35 years for general candidates and for SC/ST/OBC it is 38 years.

    for employees working in courts or related departments , age limit is 40 years.

    You can apply for the posts of Civil Judge that will be acheived only after getting succeeded in HCS (Judicial Branch) Examination.

    Eligiblity :

    - You should recognized graduation degree in Law.

    - You should be practicing as an advocate in any high court or civil court.

    - You need to have experience of around 5 years in any courts or allied departments along with the graduation in the same area.

    - The upper age limit for this post is 35 years.

    You need to attend the written test for getting selected in to this post.
    The written exam will be generally objective type. If you get qualified in the written exam, you will be called for the interview.

    If you are a experienced lawyer or judge of any district level of criminal/jurisdication or a vell experienced lawyer of a high court.then you will be eligible for high court judge..if u passed uyour law exam,plz go for judiciar exam by state public service commission,get ranked and after a lot experienced you can become a high curt judge.
