    Hi,

    To become a Customs Officer, you will have to appear for the Civil Services Examination. It is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. This Entrance Exam provides entry into 27 different services which includes the Indian Customs & Central Excise Services.

    Eligibility:
    Graduation
    Minimum 18 years
    Minimum 55% marks in graduation

    How to become a custom officer?



    - Customer officer can be become by passing the recruitment process conducted by SSC.

    - SSC is Staff Selection Commission.

    - It conducts a recruitment process known as CGL or Combined Graduate Level Exam.

    - This is conducted once every year.

    - Educational Qualification: Graduation pass from a government recognized university in any stream.

    - Age limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 27 years.

    - Relaxation in age: SC/ST- 5 years upper age limit.

    - OBC- 3 years.

    Hello

    The custom officer recruitment is done through civil services exams,the exam name is known as CSE(Civil Service Examination),the exam is conducted under the name IRS(Indian Revenue Service{Customs and central excise).CSE conducts other various exams such as IAS,IPS,IFS etc.

    The qualification required is graduation from any stream.
    Age limit is 21 to 30 years.

    CSE is the one and only way to become a custom officer in India.
    The exam is conducted in three stages
    1)Preliminary Exam.
    2)Written Exam.
    3)Interview.

    The distribution of post and services is done on the basis of rank that one score.

    A Bachelorís degree is the basic qualification. A custom officer who is working under the Government of India should be above 19 yrs and must have completed graduation. The aspirant must score above 55% of marks and then only can he/she apply. The admit cards are sent out based on the merit achieved in graduation level. The notifications are published in the employment newspaper and other prominent periodicals. The exam is conducted annually but there are many other private companies who offer the same job.

    Qualities required for the position as a Custom Officer

    Age limit- 18 years old
    Indian citizenship
    Must possess a Vehicle license
    Ability to work flexible schedules
    Have reliable transportation
    Should never have used drugs of any kind
    Must pass an extensive background check
    Must be able to successfully complete all training required for the desired position
    Must be able to activate a radio or telephone equipment and console monitors
    Display an aptitude to cooperate genially and communicate with the community

    To be eligible to become a customs officer you need to be a India citizen or permanent resident, and hold a current driver's licence. UPSC conducts an entrance test for the recruitment of Customs Officers. It consists of two stages - the preliminary test and mains. You need to clear the written test and the personal interview. Then only you can expect employment as Customs Officer.

    The subjects of the examination are as follows-

    General English
    Arithmetical Ability
    General Intelligence
    General Awareness.


    Eligibility :
    Specific degree subjects required
    Open to non-graduates and graduates of all disciplines.
    You must have 55% aggregate in bachelor degree.

    Other relevant degree subjects
    Accounting
    Finance
    Law
    Psychology.

    Hello friends ................

    The function of the customs department is to control the import and export of goods with the purpose of collecting duty and maintaina check on the entry of prohibited and restricted goods.

    The customs officer ensures that Smugling doesn't takes place.

    The Eligibility details are as follows:

    Must be a citizen of India.
    Must have completed graduation from any recognized university.
    Candidates must have 55% of marks in their graduation.
    Must be more than 18 years of age.
    Must possess Vehicle license.
    Ability to work in flexible schedules.

    The above mentioned are the eligibility details of the custom officer.

    In order to become customs officer,candidates have to write the civil services examination conducted by UPSC.

    There are two exams conducted Preliminary and Main.The candidates who passed preliminary are only eligible for the Main examination.
