    How to become custom officer in airports?

    Dear Sir,

    I want to know the criteria & eligibility for the position of custom officers and i even want to know the educational necessity for this position, where to apply, what i have to clear for the exams, where i'll be examined, fees, any training or coaching if necessary in short i need the all details for the position of CUSTOM OFFICER.

    You have to appear for civil service examination to become a customs officer. This exam is conducted by UPSC. After clearing this exam you can enter in to many services including Indian Customs and Central Exercise Services. There are two parts in this exam. The first one is the preliminary exam and the second one is the main exam. The eligibility for appearing for this exam is to have completed graduation from any recognized university. The minimum age required for applying for this exam is to be above 19 years of age. You should obtain a minimum of 55% marks to appear for this exam. Many prominent periodicals, leading newspapers and official websites notify about this exam. Many other qualities are required for becoming customs officer. These are
    • Indian Citizenship
    • Ability to work in flexible schedules
    • Must pass an extensive background check
    • Must possess a driving license
    • Must be able to activate telephone or radio equipments, etc.
    • Should posses an aptitude to cooperate and communicate with the community
    • Should have never had drugs of any kind
    After clearing the written test and interview you will have to undergo training in customs department. You should prepare well with a proper study plan. Many coaching centers like T.I.M.E., IAS Coaching Center, Brilliant Tutorials, etc provide coaching for civil service exams. You can join any of these near your place.     Custom officer in Airports




    Dear Aspirant,


    You can Become custom officer , you have to apply for SCC combined Graduate prelim exam.

    Examination is conducted by Staff Selection Commission for the main exam
    for the following posts:-




    A) Assistant Grade like Railway Board etc.

    B) Inspector Of central Excise , Income Tax Officer etc.

    C) Sub Inspector in CBI

    D) Sub Inspector of Police in BSF,CISF,CRPF




    Prelim Exam SSC Combined Graduate Exam conducts once a year.



    Important Dates

    Generally, Main Examination conducts October to December of the each year.

    Notification released generally in First week of April.

    Last date for submission generally in last week of April.

    to become a custom officer in airpot you will have to clear the entrance examination. The examination for Custom officer is conducted by UPSC (union public service commision). you should apply for UPSC exam to become a custom officer. the notification will be published on the official website of UPSC, employement news or other national dalies. The UPSC exam is conducted in two stages namely-

    PRELIMINARY EXAM
    MAIN EXAM.

    After clearing the preliminary exam you have to clear the main exam and after that you will be called for interview.

    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

    EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION- The candidates must have completed graduation from recognised university with atleast 55% marks.

    AGE LIMIT- The age of the candidates should not less than 19 years. their will be relaxation in age for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC
    candidates.

    Iam 27 year guy who has nothing much qualification,but
    matric but I want to be a custom officer,
    I've work as a custom operator vodacom public phone,
    Then worked production company were I was PMC operator,
    All so worked as a sales consultant,so what do I have to do

    Hi dear,
    To get into Airport Customs officer you need to qualify Civil Services Exam conducted

    by upsc.

    In Civil Services Exam you will face One Preliminary Exam And if you get success in

    cracking preliminary Exam then you will face Mains.

    Basically Civil Services Exam is having General Studies and Optional Subjects.

    Now comes to Eligibility criteria :-

    19 years of age must be there if a guy is applying for Civil Services Exam and Side by

    side a bachelor's degree with 55% marks.

    Custom Officer job is a administrative service and so there is only one way through which you can become an custom officer,that is the civil services.
    The civil services that is conducted by the UPSC also conducts exam for custom officer.Now the exam name is CSE(Civil Service Examination).

    The educational required is graduation from any stream.
    Age Limit is 21 to 30 years for the general category.

    The service name is Indian Revenue Service(custom and central exercise).
    The exam is conducted in three stages

    1)Preliminary Exam.
    2)Mains Exam.
    3)Interview.
