Re: How can astudent become Airhostess?Does attending entrance exams is compulsory?

    Hello,

If You really want to be an Air Hostess:

Either you should have the Degree /Diploma / Certificate course Hotel Management OR
Diploma in Aviation & Hospitality Management Diploma. Otherwise you can have both qualifications.
This is the basic requirement these days.

Not like earlier that the airlines itself used to conduct complete training for selected candidates.
But these days due to increase in number of players in the air transport industry and competition has made this option to stop by them.

Since the cost of customary full training by airliners is high, they started opting for candidates who
readily possess qualities along with total airlines’ hospitality related subject familiarisation course as per their standards.

Overall the attractiveness / good looks / complexion (not all times and negligible with most suitable candidates) /
physique and Fitness is playing an important role in selecting a candidate as an Air Hostess. So in one word “beauty with brains” only they want.

    ----------------
So, what I suggest you is first you complete some course in the related subjects as I have referred in the first Para.
With that you will have an overview about the area of work and scope. Check if your age should not cross 25 Yrs by
any means plus add your number of attempts and opportunities in selecting Degree/Diploma or just a Certificate
course etc vis-à-vis available opportunities & time frame.

Over and above you should have excellent spoken English skills a must with knowledge of Hindi.

    Good of Luck…

Re: How can astudent become Airhostess?Does attending entrance exams is compulsory?

    HELLO FRIEND,

You want to know about the Topic of " How can astudent become Airhostess? ".....................

You become an Air Hostess by applying direct to any airline online, but becoming Cabin Crew is not easy and is not as well paid as you would expect and it can be a rewarding but very demanding job.

There are strict safety and security regulations both on the aircraft and at the airport. The advent of the no frills budget airline can sometimes mean jet lag or tight turn around times and for all Cabin Crew, there is a long list of criteria that must be met prior to any application.

There are no statutory qualifications, though usually though you will need to have 5 GCSEs A*-C, including Maths and English, both spoken and written. The ability to speak a major foreign language would be useful, as would something like a BTEC qualification in leisure and tourism.

You should have at least two years of customer service experience or have just 5 GCSEs gradesand have no visible tattoos or piercings. It would also be an advantage to have a checkable 5 year work history and live within 45 minutes of the airport at which you intend to be based.

In general, you must be over 18; 5'2" (1.58m) to 6'3" (1.90m) tall with weight that is in proportion to your height. You must be able to walk forward, and fit comfortably down the aisle. You should be able to fasten a seatbelt across your body without an extension and be able to fit quickly through the overwing window exit in an emergency.

You must be physically fit and be able to swim at least 30 meters and tread water for one minute and have a high standard of physical fitness. This will be tested at some airline interviews.

You must pass an in depth medical questionnaire and hold a valid E.U. Passport allowing unrestricted world-wide travel as well as the right to live and work within the E.U. With no time restrictons.

There is a lot to remember and learn. Most training courses last around four weeks and is done in house at the airline’s UK base. There is classroom learning as well as flight simulation and empty test flights.

If you are successful, you will travel widely, work irregular hours and often spend a few days away from home.

    HOPE THIS INFORMATION HELPS YOU..........
WISHING YOU GOOD LUCK FOR YOUR BRIGHT FUTURE.......
    WITH REGARDS FROM chandreyeeghosh
