For government teachers job, CTET is conducted which is required.
B.Ed is the essential requirement for appearing in the exam with 50% and for qualifying the exam you should get 60% in the test.

For class I- VIII, B.Ed. is essential , whereas for further higher classes, M.Ed is mandatory.

Apart from CTET, State also conducts exam for the same.

Re: How can i become a government teacher? Is it necessary to attend CTET test?

For becoming a government teacher in india from now it is compulsory for every candidate to clear either ctet or tet(teacher eligibility test) of that state where the candidate wants to become teacher. The tet exam is conducted every year.
As you want to become a central government teacher than you need to pass the ctet exam with 60%. After that you can apply for teacher in central school. Remember that b.ed is essential for government teacher post.

your interest is to become a government teacher for that you need to have B.ED degree.

    Hello dear,

For getting the job in CBSE schools, CBSE conduct CTET(Central Teacher Eligibility Test). It has 2 papers. Paper 1 is conducted for
the teachers of Class 1-4 and Paper 2 is for the teacher 5-8. After scoring good marks, based on the vacancies in different schools,
you'll be asked to fill the form and then you'll be hortlisted based on the marks scored in CTET.
Through this CTET, you are eligible to apply in Kendriya Vidyala or Navodaya Vidyalaya.

Currently CBSE has published the advertisement of CTET exam to be condcuted on 18 Nov'12. The last date to fill the form is
31st Aug. As you have done BEd, you are eligible to appear for both the papers(Paper 1 and Parer2).
So go ahead and fill the form, if you are interested to pursue your career in teaching field. All the best.
