    hello

If you want to become an Income Tax Officer you have to appear for civil services examination, which is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). In the civil services posts are of Group A officer cadre.
You could also take the competitive exam for Inspectors of Central Excise, Income Tax, etc. conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC)
The basic qualification required to apply for the SSC is a degree from a recognized University or its equal. The candidates must be atleast 18 years and not more than 27 years at the time of applying ( age relaxation is available for the candidates belonging to the backward classes).

when you are appearing for the interview and examination, u must be prepared in topics like General English, basic arithmetic, general knowledge etc. In addition to this, questions will be also asked on topics like General policy, Geography and History. Subjects like Economics and Scientific Research will also be included.

you can prepare for the written exam by reading materials on the topic. you can also go for coaching in centers nearby.

At the time of the interview, you must make sure that u answer to the point.

    all the best!!

For becoming INCOME TAX OFFICER you will have to appear in SSC UDC(upper divisional clerk) exam.
The vacancies and notification regarding this exam comes in the last week of march every year.

As the exam date for this year has been passed and thus you will not be able to appear in this exam for this year.
For exams notification you will have to visit its official website www.ssc.nic.in

There are 4 sections from which questions are asked in this exam.
    These are:-

    Maths
    English
    G.K

Total number of questions from each sections is 50,thus total marks for this exam is 200.
Total time duration for this exam is 120 minutes.

    Selection process:-

    Preliminary exam
    Main exam
    Interview

This exam is very easy but scoring more marks is more tuff.
You will have to score atleast 150 marks in order to get selected in initial stage.
