    How can i find job in government sector being a B.Tech student in Computer science?

    How can i find govt. Job?i m pursing b-tech in computer science and engg.My graduation wil b complete in 2013.

    Hello Friend........

    Computer Science Engineering is the Branch of study which deals mainly with the Computer Programming and Computer Architecture etc...
    There are many jobs which are available for the computer Science engineering candidates in both the Private and also in the Public sectors.....
    Every Government related jobs will be conducted by following the Entrance examinations these entrance examinations are conducted by following certain eligibility criteria and examination pattern and the selected candidates are given the job opportunity....
    There are many government related jobs some of them are....
    *ISRO
    *IAS
    *IPS
    *IBPS
    *Defense Services
    *ECIL
    *Steel Plant
    These are some of the jobs which are related to the government sector and these jobs needs to be satisfy some of the eligibility criteria which must be followed in order to appear for the Government related jobs.....
    Every government related jobs are conducted all India wide and you need to have knowledge about the General technical syllabus and the Logical reasoning and the mental ability to solve any problem....

    You can apply for these jobs after completing your Graduate degree course and apply for the jobs in which you had interest and these jobs are competitive examinations,getting the government job is not an easy task as there will be lots of competition for these jobs.....
    There are particular examination pattern for every job and know about every job and apply for the job in which you had interest and if you wants to apply for civil's you need to prepare from now on wards to get in to civil's.....

    Computer science students which have the knowledge about the computer application so you can get the job in these work field like:

    IT field
    Technical field
    web designing field
    web browser field
    Networking field etc..

    In the Government sector job:

    Government companies which hire the computer science students :

    BHEL
    IOCL
    ONGC
    NTPC
    POWER GRID
    SAIL
    GAIL
    MTNL
    BEL
    ISRO
    DRDO etc..

    these are the government companies for the CSE students and selection in these companies thorugh the entrnace exam has been conducted by the own government company...

    Other government department job posts :

    IAS
    IPS
    Railways jobs
    Banking jobs
    BSNL department through the JTO exam
    Defense services like Indian army, Indian navy, AIroforce etc through the CDS entrance exam under the UPSC.
    CBI
    CID
    Sub-inspector police force etc

    so you can also apply for these job posts for which entrance exam has been conducted by the respective department

    You have to qualify in campus selections when it is made in your colleges...otherwise you can apply for govt. jobs after your b.tech is over...

    There are many opportunities in Government and Public Sector for any B.Tech Graduates in any stream. There are many software and support services jobs in every government department. You can follow the notifications and apply. Look at Mr. Nandan Neelakeni who worked for Infosys and now heading a Government project. It all depends on how strong you are in your basics and good communication skills, analytical skills. Your skills will get you your desired Job. All the best

    Yes there are government (public sector) jobs for computer science students, chances of getting a job depending upon your field of study is not possible, you can apply for various jobs with your graduation. But for applying to all the companies you must have minimum of 60% aggregate, but some of them demand a bit more i.e 65% throughout your academic career or in your graduation, that is when you might find short with the number of opportunities.

    As your branch is computer science you will be get jobs for both types of posts that is for technical as well as fro non technical posts.

    After completing your degree in 2013 you will be eligible for getting in these sectors:-

    Banks(through IBPS FOR bank p.o,specialist officer,IT officer)
    SSC UDC
    Indian railways
    Indian defence
    Indian navy
    Indian airforce
    UPSC
    CDS
    ISRO
    and in various state level and central level exams related to jobs.

    Apart from this you will aslo able to get jobs in the following sectors ,these are:-

    SAIL
    GAIL
    NTPC
    BHEL
    BEL
    CCL
    IOCL
    ONGC
    DVC
    PSPCL
    OHPC
    and in many more.

    The age required for technical posts is 21 years and for the non technical posts the minimum age required is 18 years,
    The upper age limit for getting government jobs is 28 years,however this may change from types of jobs.

    In certain cases the upper limt may be extended to 32 to 35 years basically for technical posts.

    Age relaxation also given to the reserved category candidates as per government norms.

    The sections from which the questions will be asked are as folows:-

    Reasoning
    Maths
    G.K and Economics
    Computer

    and if your are applying for any technical posts then you will find easy as because your subject is computer.

    You will have to read pratiyogita darpan for commanding yourself over G.K sections as well as you should read any english newspaper.
    The best one will be THE HINDU.

    Yes friend,Computer Science students can get a job in both private and government sector.

    For all the below exams,your percentage in Graduation must be atleast 60%.

    * There are many software companies like Infosys,Tcs,wipro,Hcl and Mahendra satyam that recruit computer science candidates mainly.

    * If you attempt GATE EXAM you will have more opportunities.

    * Most of the Public Sector Undertakings are recruiting candidates based on the Gate Score,so if you get a good score then you may be selected.

    * Good GATE SCORE will also help you to fetch seat in government colleges for pursuing Higher studies.

    * Banking sector will help you to work in clerk or P.O Posts.

    * You can also find jobs related to your education in Indian Army and Indian Navy.

    * Postal jobs also provide good opportunities for Graduates and Undergraduates.

    The above mentioned are some of the opportunities in government sector.

    After completion of your Btech degree you are eligible for applying in Govt. organisations like

    DRDO
    BSNL
    MTNL
    BEL
    BHEL
    WIPRO
    INFOSYS
    etc.

    With that you are eligible for applying Civil service exams conducted by the UPSC .

    You are also eligible for applying Probationary officer post in Banking sector
