    Dear Aspirant,
As you have mentioned about your scores in class 10,12 and graduation, i have to make one thing clear to you that, core companies expect some very outstanding engineers hence they expect a minimum of 70% or 75%+, but they may relax on that eligibility if the candidate applying has some very promising profile, with his aptitude and the innovations that the candidate shows in his mini project(if any) and in the final year project. They also expect the candidates to be very much familiar about how the industries work(i.e) indirectly they expect the candidates to have undergone as many industrial training as possible during the course of 4 years in engineering, they also expect the candidates to have presented some innovative ideas in symposia in the form of paper presentations. This is for the case of core engineering.
But if you are interested in IT sector you can very well get into an IT company, as all they want is candidates with good mathematical aptitude , good communication skills and a thorough basic knowledge about programming languages such as C and C++ additionally JAVA is also an advantage. They are always on the look out for engineers, so you shouldn't have any problem with finding a job in the IT sector.

AS my advice, better you can join small companies and get your experience in one particular field, learn thoroughly,,, then shows the experience on big concern,, thats it.. you will be the one in that concern,, or else learn the deisgn part and CAD CAM ,, that was best course for mechanical engineers, in Mechanical only two kinds, one is heavy work with machine and another one is designing,.. Choice is yours,,,, All the best,,,

You have many option if you have completed Mechanical Engineering .

You can try any private sector if you want to do a job. Otherwise you can start preparing for Government jobs.

There are many government jobs for engineering graduates. But you have to pass the examination and interview with good marks to get the job.

If you are GATE qualified then you can apply for PSUs like GAIL, BHEL , SAIL, NTPC etc.

PSUs hire only GATE qualified engineers for executive trainee post.

You can also apply for defence posts through exams like CDS and AFCAT if you are interested to join defence.

There is engineering services exam which is conducted by UPSC for which you are eligible.

The is Junior telecom officer job also available for you but you have to beat the other competitors in the exam and interview.

There is IAS exam for you because you are a graduate. Most of engineers become IAS officer in India .

There are many options available for you but the decision is yours . Best of luck...
