    Hello,

Mechanical engineering is called as a evergreen branch of engineering. After getting a degree in mechanical engg. with 67.5% marks you are eligible for job in nearly every PSU and govt. organisation as every company recruit mechanical engineers. For most of the good rated PSUs ( IOCL,NTPC, BHEL, PGCIL,MECON, etc) you need to qualify GATE exam. Notifications of all these companies ( about 12 in number) have been out. If you are appearing in GATE-2013, then you are eligible to register in all these companies. In govt. sector you can prepare for Engineering services exam conducted by UPSC.The number of seats in mechanical stream filled in these PSUs and govt. sectors is very huge and with a good preparation of technical as well as general awareness you can easily get qualified. There are many private jobs also for mechanical engineers (e.g. Software firms, Mechanical releted comp. like Mcnally bharat, kirloskar, atlas compo, bluestar, otis, kone, jhon dierre etc.). You can apply in these comp.

    Best of Luck.
