    Hi buddy

As you are in your final year of engineering you have great opportunities in government sector.

You are eligible for certain jobs in your final year also.

You can apply in various defense services in commissioned officers entry.

To apply in Indian Army go to the following link

    For Indian Airforce

    For Indian Navy

You can apply in direct engineering entry through SSB.

To prepare for technical questions you should go through all your engineering papers specially your branch papers.

To prepare for quantitative aptitude section you should prepare it from R.S Agarwala 's book of Quantitative aptitude. It is the best book to prepare for

    aptitude.

You should practice various aptitude sections given in that book. That book is available in all the book stores.

To prepare for Logical reasoning and General English you should prepare it from R.S Agarwala 's book of Logical reasoning.

You would find both sections that is English and reasoning in this book.

Go through this book thoroughly and try to cover as much as possible.

These two books will be very much helpful towards your preparation for various government jobs.

I would advice you appear for GATE exam nest year and prepare for that.

Try to clear the exam and through the score card you will be eligible to apply in various PSUs like BHEL,SAIL,NTPC,NALCO,NPCILetc.

    All the best.

    Thanks & regards.

It is a good decision to prepare for government jobs while being in final year of engineering. You need to be thorough with the basic subject concepts. You should be through with the pattern and structure of various exams and prepare accordingly as well. You should practice by referring previous year question papers and other standard books. If you are interested, you can join some reputed coaching institutes also as part of your exam preparation. You can also attend mock tests. You need to read technical books extensively which will help to improve your skills in specific domains. You can acquire more knowledge by watching online tutorials, discussions with field experts, reading technical text books etc. Experience is also an important factor which will increase your technical knowledge. You can improve your knowledge through constant practice. Only through this, you can identify your weak areas and improve more on those areas. Time management is also an important factor while preparing for competitive exams.
