Re: How can a person get in to organizations such as National statistical survey for a job?

The national statistical Survey organization (NASSO) is one of the prestigious organizations engaged in the field of economic surveys. The candidate who gets jobs in this organization will have immense opportunities in terms of job positions as well as the various benefits.

A graduation in the field of statistics will definitely guarantee you a job in this organization as you are involved in this field primarily. In order to get in to the National Statistical survey organization, is necessary to attend the written examination conducted by the NASSO every year. A large number of candidates apply for this exam and hence there is stiff competition involved in this area. This needs the candidates to fulfill the following criteria’s-
    • The staff selection commission conducts this exam. The candidates needs to be a graduate in fields such as statistics, Mathematics, Commerce, economics etc. It should be from a recognized university or college.
    • The age limit of the candidates should be between the 21-26 years. There is reservation incase of reserved categories as per the government rules.
    • The candidate should have basic knowledge regarding the computers and should also be proficient with the local language and culture etc.
    • An added advantage will be available for those candidates who have experience in sample survey data collection.

If getting short listed in the written exam will be called for the Personal Interview.
