Re: How to get job after B.Sc in Textile Design?

Textile is one of the important source of income for the government. It is an evergreen field as the demand of clothes will never decline. The demand of textile graduates is increasing at a rapid pace since it is facing a lack of graduates as compared to its demand in the market.

Being a graduate in Textile design, you can get job in both public as well as private sector. You can get work in various posts like-Development Officer,Quality Control Officer,Sales Manager,Researcher,Operation Trainee,Technologist,Technical Supervisor,Assistant Designer and Sales Manager.

In public sector, there are many corporations that deal with textile and recruit a good number of textile graduates.Although salary is not very high yet there are other allowances and benefits provided by them.organizations like-Central Cottage Industries Corporation,National Jute Manufactures Corporation,Birds Jute Exports Limited,Cotton Corporation of India,National Textile Corporation Limited are the major recruiters in the public sector.Selection is done by written test conducted by UPSC followed by interview.

Textile Industry is one of the prime industry in private sector. There are numerous companies that deal with textile. From local to foreign market, from small scale to large and very large scale industry are present.Companies like-Bombay Rayon Fashions Limited, Vimal,Mysore Silk Factory,Pashupati Fabrics Limited,Gwalior,Mayur,Raymond,Bombay Dyeing Suiting & Shirting Merchant,Orbit Exports Limited,Detco Textiles Private Limited and many more recruit graduates of textile.Selection is done mainly through interviews.Salary is good in the private sector ranging upto 40000 for the freshers and will increase as one gets more experienced.
Apart from textile sector you can also try for other sectors like railways, banking, civil services, etc.
