If you are a fresher , to get job in reputed companies you need to be 1st good at aptitude and should have basic knowledge in English vocabulary and also good communication skills. For some IT companies they expect small but good amount of basic knowledge on 'C' language but you can learn any other also and update in your resume. For some companies, they check only your quant, logical and verbal abilities , but for some companies like TCS,CTS you have technical round also. So you need to have good logical thinking and some programming abilities.
In the interview it all depends whether it is technical or personal. In personal interview they ask you general questions like about yourself, your education etc. Basically they test your communication skills and your body language. Before the interview practice some questions answering to yourself before a mirror so that you can concentrate on your body language too.You can make a note on how to present in the interview preparing some common question.
In the Resume donot mention the things that you are not aware of . From a fresher companies also donot expect a lot. So be true to yourself and prepare your resume on our own.
